ONE Spa — Local services in Santa Monica

There were several things I liked about the experience here, and there is also room for improvement.

First, what I liked —

I liked the steam room and the towels and robe were great quality.

What could be better —

Though I booked an hour length massage, the actual massage I got was less than an hour. The massage therapist didn’t do both sides evenly. For instance, did right hand but not left. I specifically requested unscented oil, and reminded the massage therapist at the beginning of the session (and it seemed heard and totally doable), and yet still a scented lotion was used before I interrupted and asked for my original request.

It’s a little odd needing to walk through gym to get to bathrooms / lockers, but that’s more structural / outside of the staff’s control.

I was parked to this hotel and their staff's family members were parked illegally in front of me in the red blocking my view next to a sign that very clearly read no parking. I asked them politely to leave and excuse me are you a supervisor here do you work here because I just want to let you know about your staff members family members that were parked illegally and they're red for an hour and refused to leave. I just drove an hour on a holy day that I have to spend alone and they were so rude and cavalier about breaking the law. If this is the caliber of staff that works here, I don't think I'd ever want service here. They should make sure that their staff members realize that this place has a good reputation and they are selling it by being rude to people who are visiting from far away places and we interested in checking...
