So, this is the only toy shop in the area. So, it's going to get the business. This is who I applaud: Sundog Books. It's COVID-19 pandemic time. The stores at Seaside just opened. But you have to wear a mask. Sundog Books was so awesome and smart that they offered free disposable masks and gloves for its customers. Duckie's, down the strip, posted a person at the door to tell you that you would not come in unless you wore a mask and immediately tried to sell you one of their masks for around $12, including some for kids. It was just tacky. The approach was tacky and not apologetic. Taking advantage of the situation is what I call it. So, I left. I saw many others leave too. They missed out on so much business, when they need it so bad. Sundog Books on the other hand earned a ton of our business. That is where we spent our money for the kids. Thank you Sundog Books for being...
Read moreSand, ocean, sunshine, and shopping. Our family decided to shop in the little village of Seaside on our third day of vacation and walking into Duckies Shop of Fun almost ruined the entire day. The employees in the store were beyond rude and any movement we made to look at the merchandise was met with reactions you would only find in a prison yard. The merchandise is incredibly overpriced and you can honestly find most of this chintzy junk online for half the price. The store is basically a tourist trap for yuppies that just had children they like to dress up in the latest fashions. The problem is the employees and owner treat you like garbage. I'd rather do another tour in Iraq and deal with shady street vendors over there that might want to blow you up than deal with this owner and...
Read moreHi! I just wanted to say I am very upset with your employees who are in charge of the door and âstore capacityâ.
Me, my husband, and our son stood outside in the heat for 15+ minutes to be let in. Once 3 people left, no one said anything to us. My husband opened the door and asked if we could come in since 3 left. The girl told me no (very rudely) stating our stroller that OUR SON was in counts as a person.
I understand the capacity and limiting people; but to limit because of a stroller does not make any sense and lost you business. I hope you donât do this to other mothers who are just wanting to buy toys for...
