The Spa in Seaside — Local services in Santa Rosa Beach

I don’t usually write reviews, but I would have appreciated knowing this before booking during our vacation. Everyone here was very nice, but it’s just not a very professional spa experience. My husband and I got a couples massage, and it left much to be desired. It’s a small thing, but our masseuses were just wearing normal street clothes, so I wasn’t sure if they worked there or not at first. My masseuse was a high schooler (young college age girl, at best), who clearly was not trained in massage. I got the impression maybe she was the daughter of the other masseuse? At one point she hooked her thumbs INSIDE my ears and pulled them in different directions! I was mostly just trying not to laugh. 😅 Other than that, it was not a massage, more just a very expensive full body lotion application. She would also jab her elbow into very tender parts of my spine and hold it there. I get professional massages quite frequently, and it wasn’t in the same way that many masseuses do to relieve tension. This actively hurt. At the end of the day, I just felt so weird afterwards because it felt different/off compared to any other professional massage I’ve ever had before, that I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. Hands down the BEST massage my wife and I have ever had—and we get massages regularly both at home and while traveling. We booked a couples massage during our trip to 30A in Seaside and were lucky enough to be paired with Angel and Chole. From the moment I called to book, I had a feeling it was going to be amazing. I overheard the owner training a new team member and say, “I’m giving them Chole and Angel, those are my girls!” That confidence sealed the deal—and wow, they delivered.

The entire experience was phenomenal. The spa staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional from start to finish. The location is ideal—right in the heart of Seaside, just steps away from shops and restaurants. It was the perfect mid-week reset during our vacation, and we’re already looking forward to coming back on our next trip.

Our party had 3 appointments booked. 2 of the 3 massages were greatly enjoyed. One of the appointments was disappointing. This appointment had a massage therapist who seemed inexperienced. She talked throughout the massage, did not check with the client about pressure, or seem to follow any expectations for a typical massage appointment. She wasn’t fluid in her massage, didn’t give the requested medium pressure, or place a towel/weighted eye mask on the client. The client reported that they felt they had been coated in lotion at the end of the appointment rather than massaged. She was super friendly and nice.
