Mid February, my sister and I had several piercings done at this location. I had two helix piercings in my right ear, the third holes in the ear lobe on both ears and the labret.
On day five of the piercings, the labret began to bleed spontaneously during dinner. During the two week period I had a total of five episodes of spontaneous bleeding. One example was while I was sleeping and found my pillow case and mattress drenched. Another example was while at the ice castles in New Hampshire. I returned this piercing location and spoke with two different piercing ladies who both could not example why the piecing continues to bleed as there was no signs of infection and overall looked fine. I ultimately decided to remove the piercing because I was nervous to spontaneously bleed at work.
About two weeks ago, I went to Studs on Newbury street because the helix piercings started to bother me with pain and the healing seemed off. They informed me that helix piercings should never be done with hoops and this is preventing proper healing. They stated āshame on whoever did it, they should know better.ā They did not have appointments but stated I needed to have the hoops removed asap. I bought from them the correct earring for the helix piercing. They also let me know it would take anywhere from 6-9 months for the helix to heal. That night I removed the hoop piercings myself and have seen an astonishing change in the healing process of both my helix and no more pain.
Two days ago, the third hole piercing of my right earlobe began to hurt. When I removed the piercing it was green and black. The area was red and inflamed and hurt with touch. I cleaned it and have since used another piercing. I no longer have pain and inflammation and redness are all gone.
I write this review now because with so many issues with each piercing I no longer feel that it was a coincidence but instead the piercer. Both her lack of knowledge when it comes to the type of jewelry to use especially with the helix mistake. Iām also wondering if the type of jewelry use is really any good. I wish I had done more of my homework and gone to a different location. I maybe would still have my labret piercing. Do not recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in yesterday because it was a long wait at my usual piercing place, the reception who assisted me actually didnt assist me at all. She was horrible. Had an attitude for no reason, not very friendly or had any knowledge of jewelry type, didnāt explain to me what type of metal or tell me I had an option to pick from my own jewelry if i wanted to although it may be additional charge. She didnāt even say thank you or you welcome. Instead said āahaā terrible way to start your experience at any place. Specially when u have to trust someone with your body. I told the piercer Jaime. She apologized for someone elseās attitude and was a complete sweetheart. She helped me and started from the begging. We left the room and she went behind the counter greeted and again and explained the metal type and options. She was open to making any changes i wanted and was so professional. Later when piercing i asked for suggestions on my next piercings and she was great!!! Dont ever get rid of her!!! Also fire your receptionist who has the thick accent. Dirty lash glue, a full face of makeup who eats chips and has a thick accent. Its not clean or a good look for any place who pierces. A more neat clean look and better customer service. Also I usually dont write reviews but this is not ok for a place that offers these types of services. Im goving 2 stars because, this was my first impression and I really didnt need to stay. However Jaime you rock may you succeed in everything...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI got two piercings from this place. The first time was about 2 years ago and they pierced my septum wrong and I heard a crunch. The guy proceeded to tell me he did it wrong so he slid the needle out and used THE SAME BLOODY NEEDLE to repierce me⦠The second time was about almost a year ago and it was kinda impulsive tbh I was just at the mall and I decided I wanted my seconds. I was gonna go to my regular piercer who is amazing but I figured everyone deserves a second chance and I was already at the mall. And plus it was just lobes it wasnāt cartilage or anything. Big mistake. The girl was so rude and she used a piercing gun when they clearly state they donāt. Then charged me 100 dollars for my seconds when I couldve got both sides for low as 50 dollars at another place who wouldāve used a needle instead of a piercing gun. Then she proceeded to tell me āI didnāt pay for the jewelryā when I did at the front desk⦠So they made me pay an extra 20 for stainless steel not even titanium jewelry. Thats so embarrassing. And also⦠they came out super wonky and crooked. My piercer asked me if I did them myself Lol. You should be ashamed to be in business and I donāt even know how you still are. You pierce horribly and donāt use quality jewelry . My piercer knows multiple people who have came from this place with infections and piercing bumps! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! (Sorry if there are grammar errors I wrote...
