I visited Brides By Young in Schaumburg on 7/26/24, excited to find my dream dress. While I didn’t find the dress, I did find what I thought was the perfect wedding day bra—The One corset. After trying it on in-store and loving the fit, I decided to purchase it a few days later for $395 ($434 after tax)—the most expensive undergarment I’ve ever purchased!

Since the store was over an hour away, I requested the same size I had tried on, knowing it fit perfectly in the store. My order was finalized on 8/2, and I made another trip back to pick it up on 8/17. I was advised to “break it in like new shoes,” so I followed their instructions.

Then, the nightmare began.

The very first time I wore it, one side collapsed. I adjusted it, but it wouldn’t stay up. I tried again after a few days, carefully bending it back into shape—still no luck. Desperate, I even tested it with my wedding dress, hoping the dress’s structure would hold it up. It worked… for about 10 minutes before collapsing again, leaving me with a lopsided boob in my wedding dress!

Before posting this review, I reached out to Brides By Young, hoping for a solution. They invited me back in, and I went with the hope that I had somehow been wearing it wrong. Unfortunately, I had been wearing it exactly as they had put it on me in-store.

Their response? • Nasreen claimed the bra didn’t work because my wedding dress didn’t have enough support like their sample dresses. • When I questioned if that meant it only works with their gowns, she said no—but then contradicted herself by saying it needed more support. • She also stated that Faith had supposedly warned me that they couldn’t guarantee fit with outside dresses—something that was never communicated to me. I even checked our messages, and—just as I suspected—no disclaimer was ever given. • To make matters worse, she suggested I spend even more money by having my seamstress add additional boning to the corset. After spending over $400, that was not an option!

While they insisted that the sample I tried on was made from the same material as the one I received, I simply don’t believe it.

Now, I’m out $400+ with a completely useless bra. Brides deserve transparency, and I just want to save another bride from this frustrating, expensive mistake. If you have a larger chest, reconsider purchasing “The One” bra—because if you receive a defective one , they won’t do anything to...

I had the best wedding dress shopping experience ever! From the second I walked in, my stylist Lori, took me and my party over to have a seat and talk about my wedding, the date, the venue, what I wanted to vibe to be and what I wanted to feel/look like. At first I was surprised that’s how the appointment began (this was my second appointment at a bridal shop and judging by the first, I expected to walk in and be rushed and pressured into buying the first dress I tried on…Not the case at all!) After discussing what I envisioned for my wedding with Lori, she took me down the first isle to start picking dresses to try on; she was very good at listening to what I liked and disliked about certain styles, I did not have to repeat myself once. I was helped in and out of every dress with a lot of care vs just being thrown in a dressing room with a bunch of gowns to try on. Each and every dress I tried on made me feel beautiful! The second dress I tried on was THE dress, I knew it right away and so did everyone else. Even though I found my dream dress on just the second try, Lori was so wonderful she still helped me try on the other dresses as well before I made the decision. As I’m trying on different dresses, the owner and designer walked in and she also starts picking dresses for me to try on. This whole experience was straight out of a fairytale for me. Both ladies picked dresses for me to try on, some were completely different than what I wanted which I appreciate greatly because one of those dresses could’ve very well been the one. My heart was still set on the second dress, so Lori helped me put it back on this time with accessories; the veil she chose for me is beyond gorgeous, it makes a statement yet doesn’t take away from the dress, it took the entire look from a 100 to 100000! I had to have the dress and the veil, no questions asked. One of the girls there helped put my hair up almost how I will be the day of, so I could get a better idea of what I would look like the day of our wedding. I wish every future bride a lovely experience wedding dress shopping just like I did, therefore I will recommend Brides by Young to everyone and...

I had an AMAZING experience at Brides By Young in Schaumburg. I cannot believe I found my perfect dress so quickly at my first dress appointment. If you go shopping for your dress here, be prepared to find the one! They truly have options for any style. First of all, I was thrilled to find an all plus size bridal boutique. When I got engaged, I was nervous about dress shopping because I thought I would be really limited in dresses I could try on in store due to being a size 26. My anxieties were immediately calmed when I saw the huge selection of dresses available for me to try on at BYB and I knew I’d have the experience I wanted and deserved. All brides deserve to feel like a VIP and not be limited in style or choice. When I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the front desk and checked in promptly. And when I met my stylist for the day, Bonnie, she was super excited to work with me and very kind, which made me feel even more excited and very special. I felt very welcomed and understood from the start, and my mom and bridesmaids who came to support me were very comfortable as well. Bonnie was INCREDIBLE. After briefly discussing the styles I was interested in and showing her some of the dresses I liked from the BYB Instagram and TikTok, she immediately knew which dresses to pull for me to try on. She was spot on with everything she picked and made me feel like the most beautiful bride. We also had lots of fun talking and shared a love for Stevie Nicks! The expert stylists here will work hard to find you exactly what you are looking for and make you feel like the beautiful queen you are! I cannot recommend Brides By Young enough!
