Here for the second time. The first experience was okay, the second (this) time was horrible.
We received an unimaginably terrible service.
We ordered 3 sets of sushi, two salads, and a Pad Thai. When we are ordering, my son (5 years old) asked if he can get fried potatoes. I just asked the server/waiter (a lady with glasses) if they have fried potatoes. She laughed, making a fun, saying this is a restaurant not a fast food. I said, well that is not funny, and I know most other sushi places have something similar on the menu. She laughed again, making fun. And I said that is not funny, and her face changed. She was sooo rude and underlooking to us.
Then I ordered a hot tea. And she brought us a pot of tea with two cups. I asked can we have two more cups, because we are four. She said straight no, mentioning it is a restaurant rule to have only two cups with a pot. What a stupid rule. What is a pot is consumed by four people. She said we need to order another pot. š¤£š¤£š¤£ Then I asked another server passing by to get two more cups, and she said "oh yeah" and brought us two more cups. She (original server with glasses, don't know her name) saw that from the distance and came to the table with rush (burning from inside because now we got two more cups) and said to other server something in a foreign language with anger, and then they took away those two newly brought cups. Just for principles. š then I asked for the manager, and apparently the second lady who gave us the cups were a manager. She had absolutely no power over her servers/waiter, saying "oh this is a restaurant rule, I am new I didn't know". š¤¦āāļøš¤¦āāļø
Then, until we finish eating and until the bill, nobody came to us and even asked if we are doing ok and need help. And nobody even took the free dishes from out table as we finish table was full and very uncomfortable.
This was my worst experience in a sushi restaurant. I wanted to leave that place as soon as possible and never going back.
Stay away, there much better places...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the opportunity to dine at Sake Sushi, and my overall experience was a mix of highs and lows. Let's start with the positives. The food was undeniably amazing, earning a solid 10 out of 10. From the freshness of the fish to the skillful preparation of each dish, every bite was a delight to the taste buds. The menu offered a wide variety of sushi rolls and sashimi, all of which were expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or a newcomer to Japanese cuisine, Sake Sushi definitely delivers on the culinary front. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy, providing a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for diners to enjoy their meal. The decor was tasteful, the lighting was just right, and the overall vibe was conducive to a relaxing dining experience. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or a special someone, the ambiance at Sake Sushi sets the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. However, my positive experience was dampened by the disappointing state of the washrooms. Specifically, the women's washroom left much to be desired. Upon entering, I was greeted by a dirty cloth covering the water tank, which immediately raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the facilities. Furthermore, the absence of paper towels made it impossible to maintain proper hygiene after using the restroom. Overall, it was not the cleanest or most pleasant experience I've had in a restaurant washroom. In conclusion, while Sake Sushi excels in terms of food quality and ambiance, there is room for improvement in the maintenance of restroom facilities. Despite this setback, I would still recommend Sake Sushi to anyone looking for delicious sushi in a welcoming environment, with the hope that they address the issues with their washrooms to ensure a more satisfying dining experience for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAwful. As I sit here I'm writing this review. I tried the casino roll, I did not like it. I literally ate one roll. Just one. The manager is making me pay half price for eating the one roll. She said it is "my problem" because I did not like it. I've never been to any establishment that were if you didn't like something you send it back, you still have to pay for it. That's Absurd!! & to add.. I did not take any of the rolls home. I apologize my tastes buds did not like the rolls, therefore it is a reason to be sent back. But once I had it taken back to the kitchen I did not want anything else because the manager became belligerent and I did not want my food tampered with. So why would I order more food if the āmanagerā was treating me like this?? I even asked if it was stated on policy that i would need to pay half price for 10 rolls if only one was eaten and she only kept waving her hands saying āitās your problem you didnāt like itā. Half is a stretch since it was $18. I should have only been charged for the one if it was that much of a problem. So a tip, which for me is usually 25%, was reduced to nothing. & It was already not as a welcoming experience, because the waitress kept skipping our table and rushed us through the ordering process. My partner had to flag her down. I am sure if I was not a black woman at this establishment, more would have been done to accommodate me. For further update, I had a spinning headache, was absolutely nauseous and terrible stomachs cramps hours later. Unfortunately there are other reviews of people having food poisoning. Just shameful. Never will I try this place again. Keep your money, especially if you are a black patron or if you just wish to not get sick...
