Crabby Cheese Fries ($14.79) - 3.5
Fries - good texture, soft and potatoey on the inside, but the outside is not crispy at all. If you like crispy fries, not for you. Flavor - excellent cheesy, crabby flavor. Can definitely taste the crab. The cheese + garlic sauce work great together to create that creamy texture and a burst of savory goodness. Crab - this is the most disappointing part. The portion of crab meat they give is laughable, there’s barely any crab. Price - a bit on the pricey side, eps for an appetizer “, but id order it again.
Grilled Lobster, Shrimp, and Salmon ($38.99) - 4.3/5
Lobster - 3.7/5 - great flavor well seasoned nice grill flavor, but I feel like it could be more tender. It’s a little chewy. Shrimp - 4.5/5 - very well seasoned with oil, garlic sauce and green onions. Nice texture I personally like my shrimp with a little bite not too soft. Atlantic Salmon - 4.5/5 - perfectly cooked salmon with a nice crispy outside layer the flash is so tender and flavorful. If it was any softer, it would be absolutely outstanding.
Service - 4/5
very friendly and patient waiter. Could have been a tiny bit more attentive in the beginning tho.
Ambiance - 4/5
feels like you’re in the fancy dining room area of a luxurious sailboat. It’s dimly lit and creates an intimate dining experience. However, since this is a family location, you may encounter...
Read moreI visited the schaumburg location a week ago, I arrived at 9:30 pm. The server took a while to get to my table. I ordered the Ultimate feast, when the food arrived it wasn't hot, I could tell it had been sitting out for a while. I was very hungry and I didn't want to wait for them to recook it. while eating my salad, I found a hair on the biscuits. The 1st server had abandoned me. She was in the next aisle having an hour conversation with another guest. So, I flagged down a waiter behind and he took the biscuits away. When he brought out the food for me, After eating the scampi, I noticed a hair on the scampi & cocktail sauce. I was so disappointing. I got up from table & flagged a manager down. I told her what was going on. She apologized & asked me what else would I like? I also asked her, aren't food preparers supposed to wear hairnets. She said she would get to the bottom of it. I told her I had lost my appetite and was ready to go, but I'd take an order of crab legs with a baked potato & broccoli to go. So when I arrived home opened the bag, they put the same crab legs I had sent back, & the same broccoli. Mind you this plate I sent back had hair on the plate. I couldn't believe a manager would do this. I will never go to this place again. This was disgusting, not mention unsanitary. Hair carries all kinds of bacteria & germs...I now realize why there is hair in food,. This manager should be written up for this kind of behavior and practice.. So Sad because I am a faithful Red lobster customer...Guest beware, watch...
Read moreOverall, our food, waitress, and the bartender were great, but we had to wait 2 hours for a table. We were a party of 8, 3 adults and 5 kids. When we arrived we were told that the wait would be 15-30 minutes. We were advised that the customers, at the table they would use for us, just finished and should be leaving. After an hour passed we went back to the host station and asked for an update as it had already passed 30 minutes. They said the customers were still at the table and they didn't know when they would be done. Fast forward another 30 minutes. Were still waiting and the hosts advise the other customers had already been. There for 3 hours and didn't seem to be leaving soon. Now we hit 2 hours and those people are still at the table...not ordering anymore food or drink, just. I ask the host again for an update and asked them if they are checking on their status....they told me they couldn't because they didn't want them to feel rushed and that they had no eta as to when we....current paying customers who have been waiting for a table for 2 hours with hungry children, while other people are being seated....would be seated. Apparently people who have been there for 3 hours and haven't ordered any food or drinks in 2 hours are more important than new paying customers. They had no problem making us wait for however long, but didn't want to disturb the other family. We finally got a different table after waiting almost 2.5 hours . That family was still there when we were seated...
