I came on this day the 9th of November because my son is now turning 4 in 2 days and he was excited to try this place again since his last one he was still afraid of the noise of clippers. I have been here which today was the 4th time coming in with Michaela since she had been the one to do his first baby cut and did a great job. Today we experienced a bad experience again the last time I didn't mentioned anything about my son being rushed through his haircut appt, bec today I saw and notice that how we waited patiently since Michaela was busy with another kid and it was past our time, which was fine bec we understand but last time when she cut my sons haircut she was like looking at her watch and was telling me I have to hurry and do this cut since my son was moving that time alot she said bec her other appt was coming in already, but today notice she was not being like that with the other kid she had. When it was time for my son today , she called his name and I said that we wait bec my son wanted McQueen car and she quickly said oh I can't wait for him with a laugh and said bec my next appt is coming in soon he have to see someone esle. I said okay I understand , this black girl there kept mumbling things under her breath like I don't know what she is talking about with a attitude and I said yea you don't thats why im trying to tell you but you keep saying things under your breath like your mad. I quickly said isn't this place suppose to make kids happy. Unprofessional no sorry mam for last time or from Michaela whatsoever. So I waited till 1pm and McQueen empty and 2 other employees not busy which they could of attended my son while they waited for thier other customers. I had to ask again so he can get seen now bec if not time is passing by. they wanted to say no bec of other customers , they finally got my son and when we left it was 1 : 18 pm , still no other customers like they had said , he was able to get it done by pat . Unprofessional employees after I still chose Michaela and she...
Read moreI booked an appointment here with the stylist named Michaela. She came recommended to me by a friend of mine. I was in search of a new person to cut my sonâs hair. The previous person had wonderful skills but she was very triggering to my son. Heâs autistic and her personality was a bit brash so it wasnât a fit for us anymore. Now Michaela at Sharkeyâs, she is a doll! So sweet, kind to my son and made him feel very comfortable. I explained to her the type of cut we wanted and she knew exactly what I was talking about. This cut was the fastest one weâve ever had! And she didnât compromise on quality because it was perfect! We were in and out of there so quick I mean I was left wondering what to do because of the time we had to spare. The environment there is tailored to kiddos and so inviting. The two other ladies that were there were so kind too. They helped set up the Xbox for my son to play and were just very friendly. I didnât even know they offered military and first responders discounts until the sweet young lady that checked us out told me. My husband is a veteran so it was nice to see that they honor that there. Long, detailed review but I felt like folks need to know in order to form their own decisions. I highly recommend this place for your kiddos haircuts. Thank you Michaela and Sharkeys staff. Weâll be back in...
Read moreWhile we lived in San Antonio, which was for about 9 years, Sharkeys was the only place we went for our sonâs haircut. From the time he was 5 when we arrived til he was 14 when we left we trusted Sharkeys with his Mohawk. We found out about Sharkeys thru services that assist kids with special needs like Calvin. Even though he was always too big for the cats they have for the kids to sit in, he was never too old for a free sucker and balloon, which he never left without both. We went to all 3 locations throughout our time in San Antonio and we were never disappointed in not only the way the barbers were able to maneuver with Calvinâs hyperactivity but also how much he looked forward to going, which was never the case before. Sharkeys has video games for kids to ply or movies/shows for them to stream while theyâre in the barber chair. For Calvin this was good and bad. Good because it mostly kept him looking straight ahead which Iâm sure made it easier to cut his hair. Bad because he would get excited and fidget in the chair. He never left looking like he had been jumping around during his haircut. We truly appreciate all the barber/stylists who took care of Calvin sir oh our time in San Antonio. Thank...
