Buying a new dryer was an easy smooth process. The salesperson was friendly and helpful. The issue came with installation. The dryer was neither leveled or properly connected to the vent, leaving a gaping hole from my basement wall to my back yard where the vent should have been connected. Upon realizing this, I texted my salesperson in a panic. Not only was there a hole in my wall while it was 30 degrees outside and critters could get in, there was sawdust everywhere and I was without a working dryer after buying one brand new less than a week before. I sent photos and confirmed the dryer hadn’t been touched since it was installed. Instead of helping me, he shifted blame, told me it was installed properly and essentially told me to take a hike. After I pushed back, he finally assured me someone would call Monday morning to come assess, and it’s now Wednesday and no one has acknowledged my issue. After running the first cycle the washer had a lake in the bottom of it and clearly wasn't draining or spinning properly. The day after delivery I called back to the store to ask for help and was told they were unable to help me and I had to call the manufacturer. In total I've called 4 times, talked a manager once, and still no movement on getting it fixed. It's now been 2 weeks without a washer and despite being new it still won't work. I'll never understand how you pay a company to install your new appliance and when something is wrong on the install they won't own the work you paid them for. Read moreI was very pleased with my whole experience. I purchased a Maytag dryer from Berto, who was very helpful and pleasant. The delivery communication was excellent and within the scheduled window. The dryer had some minor dings that the delivery men alerted me to and gave me my options. I chose to keep it because the dings did not interfere with the functionality of the dryer. Upon installation, the dryer was slightly too wide to clear the case opening of the laundry room. With my go-ahead, they removed part of the door trim (at no extra cost) and finished the installation. They suggested I contact Big George's to ask about the dings.
