FBCScottsdale — Local services in Scottsdale

I don't hate the place but I just recently received a call from the pastor regarding a dire situation I'm in. I called yesterday after my neighbors mentioned that the church helped them out of their dire situation. I don't expect the church to play attorney or bail me out financially but the pastor could seemingly care less, overall. My landlords attend the church and are also attempting to evict me due to past due rent, although I've been more than just a tenant here and I've been tolerant of the poor maintenance here since I moved in. The pastor was quick to kill all hope of mediating with my landlords and basically said... "I can't offer you any help, try an attorney or something, good luck." Not very Christ like but rather cold blooded and not concerned in the least. I was a gentleman with him about it but I could sense he didn't care at all. Probably not a call he was enthusiastic about making. Jesus wouldn't approve of his businessman approach to my plead...

The first time I attended a Sunday service at FBCScottsdale, I was impressed. The service was super cool! Anyway, I always attend the Contemporary service now at this church. I like the people here who welcome me with their kindness. As an international student who will live in the U.S. for a year, the people at FBCScottsdale help me a lot to make me feel like home. The pastors are marvelous, the worship team is outstanding, the tech team is fantastic, the grow groups are stunning, and the youth ministry and kids ministry are gracious! Besides, there are a lot of fun activities every week and month. I love this church! If you visit Scottsdale or live around Scottsdale, Tempe and Phoenix, I suggest you to come and join us worship God here....
