Worst installation experience ever!
The installer did not possess the proper HVAC service equipment, nor the required knowledge to achieve a certified and reliable system installation.
I have thermostat wire literally hanging on my garage wall and they refuse to secure it.
The Nest Pro thermostat was wired improperly. I had to f ix it myself.
System evacuation was not possible by installer as he did not even possess a micron gauge, nor a vacuum-rated Schrader core removal/system blank off tool.
Installers' vacuum pump could only achieve 2,8880 microns. Never changes his vacuum pump oil, just tops it up when low.
Claimed that he could "see" a 500 micron vacuum on his non working analog gauges. He must have some incredible eyes!!!!!
I had to use both my own vacuum pump (with clean, freshly-changed, water-free vacuum pump oil) and my own micron gauge to achieve proper line-set evacuation per the Ruud condenser's install guide.
No nitrogen purge used during brazing operations... No Rx11 flushing agent with nitrogen back-sweep before converting the line-set from R-22 to R-410a.
Installer's manifold gauge set gauges were not even "zeroed" and had no protective gauge faces. I would not trust that core instrument for any HVAC servicing. My manifold set is way better than what was used and I do not do this every day.
New units originally delivered were not what was quoted. I had to notice that also.
Installer did not check for proper air flow before setting sub cool/refrigerant charge. Air filter was completely dirty and never checked.
The entire company is a sham.
It was like hiring a shade-tree HVAC "guy" who always does it the way he's done it, even when the installation instructions clearly specify how to achieve a proper installation.
Customer support is non-existent.
You cannot even escalate issues above the only listed phone number on their web-site.
Looks like a 3-man show masquerading as a professional HVAC company.
I knew that I should have installed this new system myself...of course I pay the man over $10,000 for the assumed professional installation of a simple first-floor 3-ton heat-pump system and I get burned....
Yet, they are very good at collecting their money while never returning to the customer's installation site to perform a Quality review of the installation before the customer pays them the remaining 50% balance.
One-year "labor" warranty is a joke and even that requires the customer to pay for two bi-annual "Service Calls" to get that lame 1-year labor warranty.
If other installers are a bad as the one I had (and with the complete lack of ANY SUPERVISION/Quality Control mechanisms) you will more than likely get burned in the near future with a dying compressor shortly after the labor warranty expires at one year. You might get to the 10-year manufacturer compressor warranty if you are lucky.
After year one, you will have to pay dearly for hourly labor, by a competent and professional HVAC repair company to install the factory warrantied compressor which is likely to fail if installed by G&R Heating Services (masquerading as Oasis Air in this area).
You will never see your friendly salesperson again once you sign up for the installation.

Read moreThe technician was very cordial, professional, and courteous (although arrived an hour past the scheduled arrival window). The work was done expediently and the unit was working as expected at completion. The price however was nothing short of predatory. I understand a company needs to turn a profit but the amount charged for a capacitor was egregious. $670 for a part that at most costs 1/10 of that. Still charging the service call on top of the repair. Sending me a “Service Form” with a my “signature” on in that I never signed. Having to actually request a receipt/invoice.
Why did I pay this insane price? I couldn’t be sure I could get another company to repair the AC before the weekend and I was leaving a wife at home with two toddlers (one sick) before leaving town for work, and it needed to be working. After calling a few other companies to get get quotes for the same part/service, it became evident I was easily charged more than twice as much as others. Also, every other company waived their service call with a repair being done. I would understand if this was an emergency call at midnight, but the technician showed up at 11 am. Upon questioning how high the price was at the end, the technician responded, “I have yet to meet someone who makes their living volunteering.” Probably the people who sell generators for 10x after a hurricane probably rationalize along the same lines.
Skip finding businesses through Home Advisor/Angi. Almost always seems to be a rip off/scam. On their website and business cards it mentions “honest pricing”. I feel they could cross that out and replace it with “opportunistic” or “predatory” and it would seem more...
Read moreWell I am changing my review again after no contact from the owner. They are worthless. Our air conditioning unit installed in 2022 has not worked since installed. The Heater wasn't installed they had to come back and finish after we discovered it. The wiring was in a pvc pipe the company I hired to fix the unit put it in an insulating box and mounted to the side of the unit. The cylinder fuses were not the right amps, kept throwing the breakers. (Never Checked the breaker box for the unit). Manual was left in the unit some place where it was scorched and could have started a fire. The condensation pipe wasn't attached to the unit it was leaking water unto my new roof and into the unit.
Charged us 140.00 to clean the coils and used my hose to do it. The coils had to be recleaned. Never checked vent connections when unit installed for any problems. I asked 3 technicians (in spring and fall) all refused would have taken 10 min. The company that did the duct work fixed all the problems with the unit and we are finally 2 years after the installation comfortable in our home. Both of us Seniors and Patrick during that time recovering from cancer Their excuses were nonsense. Dirty filters, pet hair, dirty ducts. How about very old ducts and a shoddy installation...
