Would give it zero but I have to put something here. Where do I even start? This was the worst experience i have ever had in getting a bridesmaid dress. First, when we go In around June-July Lola didn't have the color we wanted (burnt orange) so she starts pulling out all these colored fabrics and showing us pinks and tried convincing us to get those because they're "in the family". I literally laughed out loud at how absurd that was. Anyways we found a different dress in a different color the bride was happy with so we paid the deposit and waited. Lola calls me sometime in September at 9PM while I was driving to California to tell me my dress was ready to be picked up and when i stated I couldn't go that weekend to pick it up she became angry and demanded I pay for it over the phone. I don't know who pays for the entire amount of the dress without seeing it and trying it on first, but that's what she wanted me to do but I refused. She called the other bridesmaids but one that same night. During that week she called the bride and told her we were terrible bridesmaids because we refused to pay over the phone and couldn't go when she wanted us to. The maid of honor called her and told her not to call us because she was incredibly rude over the phone and she would pass the messages along to us. The maid of honor went Oct. 31 to look at the dresses and she ordered the WRONG dress. Lola tried to fight it at first but we made her check her receipts, and she checked up on our order and said they were in Vegas. If I had paid for the dress over the phone she would've probably made me take the wrong dress because I already had paid for it. On Nov 5 she called and said the dresses were there for pick up. This is 2 weeks for the wedding mind you. We go pick up the dresses on Nov 9th and they're the correct dresses finally. We try them on and pay then she starts hounding one of the bridesmaids saying she's good person and not rude at all. Then continues by saying we're horrible bridesmaids and that the dresses were there for 2 months and we never picked them up. I have time stamps of every time she called me always at 9pm so I can prove she is a liar. She starts arguing with the bridesmaid saying that she has no room in the back to keep the dresses. Another bridesmaid told her she NEVER called to tell her the dress was there and she got loud and said that it was OUR responsibility to call her. NO. NO MAAM. If the wedding wasn't so soon we would've left our dresses there and have gone somewhere else but we were stuck with this lady. Please save yourself the hassle and money and don't go here. She is the worst...
Read moreWell I wish I could report that I had a different experience then the one above, but that would be an understatement to the maximum degree. I went to Roxanne's to have some alterations done and my experience was horrendous. I was not only told that my dress was "cheap" and if I had a more expensive dress this wouldn't have happened, but I was also told I was being "too picky" with my alterations. My dress was for a very special occasion, which meant I needed it to be as close to perfect as possible. This was as far away as it could've possibly been.
On my first visit I was told the alterations were quite extensive, but that the seamstress has worked on couture gowns for over 20 years in addition to being a fashion designer. I was assured over and over again that the dress would be perfect post alterations. On my second visit I expected to pick up the dress, but that was far from the case. The dress was still too long and and puckered on each of the sides under the arms. I was assured by the seamstress that the sides would be tacked down and this was no problem. On my THIRD time to the store, which was an appointment I rescheduled more than 24 hours prior I was surprised to find the seamstress wasn't there. Lola was though... She had me try on the dress to ensure all the alterations were down correctly. It still puckered underneath the arms and I was told... "Well this is how it looked when you brought it in" and "If the dress was made better this wouldn't happen" and.... "This is what happens when you have a cheap dress"..... I didn't realize that $250 was considered "cheap." I was then told I was being too picky and that there wasn't anything wrong and on and on and on. Lola got on the phone with the seamstress and told her she needed to come take care of her customer as I was unhappy. The seamstress couldn't make it last minute so I had to come back for the FOURTH time. Upon my return I was escorted to the back/stock room. This is where my final fitting took place. Unbelievable... I was told I made a scene in the store during my last visit and this was why I was back here. I was appalled at the lack of respect and customer service I received for a paying customer of a $150 alterations bill. There isn't enough time in the world to express how displeased, shocked and overwhelmingly disgusted at the treatment I received. I will NEVER go back here and make sure I tell people about...
Read moreBODY SHAMERS!! Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Took my 18 year old daughter in for a prom dress. She’s a SIZE TWO. The young woman working there told her to try on whatever she wanted and they could find, or order, a dress in her size if the one in the store didn’t fit. She chose two dresses- one a size two and one a size 00. The young woman took the dresses to the fitting room and returned shortly thereafter to tell us that my daughter could not try on the 00 dress because it wouldn’t fit her! We told her we understood that. We just wanted a reference for what size to order. She then pushed past us and put the dress back on the rack. We were a little stunned so we proceeded to the dressing room to try on the other dress, the size 2. Another very rude woman, I believe the owner, stepped in front of us and grabbed the dress and said it was too small for my daughter-that she couldn’t try it on. Again we were confused. We said no, it’s a size 2, which is her size. The woman said well, it runs small and it won’t fit her. She made a total scene!!! My daughter was mortified and embarrassed after being refused service and body shamed TWICE! She left the store in tears and I proceeded to let those two women have it!!! I cannot believe in this day and age, ANYONE would say such things to a young girl. These women, one of them THE OWNER, no less, are why girls have body issues and eating disorders. Shame on you, Roxannes. Shame. On. You. Oh, and Neiman Marcus...
