Salutations to all, (1st time Visit). True story; as any other restaurant. Habanero is also short in staff. There is a line of people before I can order. As soon as the Cashier was able she started my Order. So while your standing in front of the counter, you have plenty of time in making an exquisite order. I completed my order with 2 Barbacoa Tacos, 2 Carne Asada Tacos with a side of Black Beans. It came out to $23 & change. Now I am patiently waiting for my food in a corner table right in front of the door, underneath a huge TV. I see the cashier walking towards me with my Food. Which I thought it was mine. Unfortunately, she dropped my Tacos that I Paid for on the wrong table. Why am I upset? Here is why? As soon as the Gentleman sees the order he asked if that was ????whatever order???? He paid for. Suddenly, she looks over to me and asked if this where mine. I urgently asked her if the other customer had touched my order, she replied with a No answer. I was still a bit uncomfortable with that ordeal. My food mistakingly dropped off in someone else's table. My food underneath someone else's chin, the other customer asked the Cashier, to identify his food. My true Moral of my Story, is that as soon as Humans open up there Mouths. There is always "SPIT" that involuntary comes out. The Moral of it, I felt uncomfortable. So, I didn't want to eat nor want another new plate. I left disgusted, I felt unhealthy, and unsafe in eating there. It wasn't because the Cashier accidently laid my plate on someones else's table. Is that the entire Staff wasn't wearing a Mask while Cooking. "Spit" will always come out of our mouths, regardless we're not talking. "Covid" is still out...
Read moreStarting searching for a good Mexican restaurant that compared to our favorites in California. So far we've come close but haven't found "our match".
We went to Habaneros and as we were in line noticed that the rice and beans were extremely small servings as well as whatever plate you choose so we ordered something extra just in case. We were like this place is out.
They didn't have combination plates. It's all separate. No hard taco shells like I like. Ok. For sure last time we come here.
Husband ordered chicken fajitas and a chicken taco. I ordered a taco and enchilada.
When we got the food, the meats were very very tasty. Very favorable. Unlike many places we've been to in Phoenix. We were impressed.
I tried a piece of my husband's chicken and said we have to get your mom a plate to go. She will love this. W3 dropped it off. She called later and said, "Where did you get food this it was the best meal I had in a long time."
So we will be back when we're not super hungry lol. I gave 4 stars because of the portion size and everything being separate. Other that that...
Read moreThis those hard working family does many things right, especially serving with a smile and true Mexican character, almost being transported to Mexico. Fast service, great happy hour specials, co consideration and fun. Of course we interact and are friendly and get right back. The server Dan saw that the spicy red sauce was too spicy for us at the moment and automatically brought two more option, medium and mild. Quite nice. I did order the Flautas, which I have to get used to, however with dipping them into one of the sauces created a more exciting taste sensation. It was busy and the lady realized that we had to wait a bid longer than normal and let us know that she realized and made sure that our order was coming faster. It was fine with us. After a while she asked if we wanted a second beer, I said I pass and as a joke said unless it is on the house. To my surprise she brought me one on the house. (we had to remind Dan later when we got the bill) Overall a great find! ...and clean...
