Firehouse Subs Northsight & Raintree — Restaurant in Scottsdale

We stop there whenever we're in town and it's always great! AA++ UPDATE4-2017 We love FH subs! This is our lunch stop when we drive from Kingman to Phoenix. This one had always been our favorite as we've eaten at all of them in the Phoenix area. 2 days ago we drove 16 miles out of our way (past 2 other FH sub shops) to go to this one and immediately regretted the choice. I've never had bad food or service at any before and this was both! There was no one else there when we went it. The lettuce was not fresh, the onion was hard and obviously older than a few hours, meat was not very hot for a hot sub, the staff seemed bored (funny considering how crappy the dining area looked), & the coke machine was out of many choices such as vanilla and cherry. You could see the diamond plate/aluminum areas were very dirty and don't get cleaned, the tile floor/grout was disgusting near the coke machine and it hasn't been cleaned there for a long time. It was just dingy and not on par with any other FH sub. I would say the last time we were there was probably a little over a year ago, and there has to be a change in managent since then! Someone obviously doesn't take pride in their work and we won't return to that one again. Sad since I will be staying in that area in a few weeks for a few days but we will drive a little farther away to get good Firehouse Subs!

Great service and sandwich. first of all let me start by saying I love my meat steamed. I know that sounds weird but I really like the fact that their meat is not baked but steamed. for some reason it makes a sandwich really good I don't know why this is just me reporting the facts. Second, their potion sizes are prefect for me a small for lunch, medium for dinner and large for after fasting for two day. Lol But I have to give a shout out to Jesus, not the holy Jesus, Jesus the employee. When things got busy today, he made sure to provide excellent service and checked up on the people who were waiting. I️ walked in at 8:40pm on Friday, November 10th. 20 minutes before closing time. A boy quickly greeted me with a series of moans followed by an intentionally rude “what do you want?”. His agitation was so obvious I️ responded by asking when they closed. He replied “9pm but you know, you came in at the worst time.” I️ left without ordering and my only conclusion from this experience is Firehouse does not close at 9pm as listed, they actually close at 8:30pm.
