The good is that if you do want to buy unlicensed jerseys and other memorabilia etc, or have the option of buying officially licensed you do here at different prices. They are a good option if you want a decent price on those types of items. They DO sell signed memorabilia….however;
This seems to be the last location for this place, the business practices that led to the local authorities shutting down their Dover store (the same owners, this is all public info and easy google searches) and now another East coast store have recently shuttered. I have a place and often go to Scranton/ Honesdale and this area when I’m not otherwise traveling and visit the NE area.
They have mixed very obvious fake signed photos of big name athletes and real signed photos. The only legit ones will have Beckett / PSA DNA / or JSA. James Spence. Their in house “sports fever” cert will not pass , and any collector worth their salt will always value and consider the top 3 versus no-name certs. Unless they have photos with the player (common for those events, I’ve never met a company that did not…) etc then I cannot in good faith believe that these cheap photos of Yankee legends be so cheap - all signed with a different colored pen and different writing tools altogether if grouped up with three signatures. I saw at other locations that had a very obvious fake Billy Martin photo , with only the sports fever coa. Nothing else. It was a butchered signature along with Mickey mantles. Names and autographs do change over the years - but the underlying structure , the swooshes and actions only the real athletes do rarely does. Mariano Rivera is an example. Billy Martin is one I’ve been keen on for years. Mantle ….Judge even. People can copy but boy, you can’t fake the individual muscle movements that allow for finite details- much like a graffiti writer.
If you buy their in house “certified” photos …ask if they will offer a full refund if it does not pass. Ask if they will also pass those authenticators. If not, find one that has one of the three. I’m a collector of decades with Yankees and Mets from all the decades, even Giant greats - all verified with a COA or through true legit third parties that took photos with the athletes and more. And they also are PSA / DNA | JSA certified. There’s a reason why people only buy those Pokémon graded Beckett / PSA DNA slabs. There’s a reason why people do buy sealed and graded Beckett video games…even though you should play them lol but I digress….the points still stand. Only reason why all the Reddit groups, discords, influencers and knowledgeable collectors all say: get a true and real authentication. There’s a reason why the prices of them stay high or appreciate in value. I bought from another location that did not pass and ended up getting a refund from my bank when they did not dispute...
Read moreVery disappointed with our visit today. My son had been looking forward to our visit all day and had birthday gift cards he wanted to spend. The lady working was extremely rude. My son knows how to behave and was not messing with anything. He is an avid collector so he knows to be careful and how valuable and expensive things are. We frequent that store often and do the majority of our Christmas shopping there. I couldn't even tell you how much we have spent in this store, yet today he put his gift cards back in his pocket and it was his idea to just leave. From reading the other reviews, I see that despite you claiming to have friendly staff, we are far from the only ones to have had this problem. Your lack of concern for the experience your customers have in your store is extremely disheartening. Very disappointing since aside from customer service I would have given a much...
Read moreI was blown away by the selection here. So many sports stores only offer merchandise for local teams, but no matter what team you support, you'll find plenty of cool stuff here. As a fan of an unsuccessful non-local franchise, I left this place amazed. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Quite honestly, it's one of the best sports stores I've set foot in. They have everything.
I was really surprised by some of the recent negative reviews. Anyone who has bought jerseys before knows the difference between a bootleg and authentic; this place seemingly sells both but doesn't try to pass anything off as something it isn't. Just do a little research if you're unsure, and...
