The Viewmont Mall is a throwback to a time before Covid. Actually, it's even better than that. It brings you back to the heyday of malls in the 70's. A gathering place for everyone, where you can find ( and touch, feel, try on, etc. ) whatever it is you're interested in. Unlike online shopping, there are actual real live people to talk to, to have assist you, to just sit back, have a coffee and observe life happening around you. This mall has managed to maintain some major anchor stores, mixed with so many old time favorites. Here, they have managed to resist the current trend of replacing the old anchors ( Yes, we all still miss Sears, K-mart, Toys R us, and all the other big chain stores that have fallen by the wayside ) . You find a large variety of different stores selling almost anything you want. In other words, it's still a REAL MALL. While most malls in this area have fallen low enough to have some of the vacancies converted into grocery stores, or karate schools, this mall has maintained its independent identity. Groceries, and schools ( of any type) are wonderful and they definitely deserve their space BUT THEY DO NOT BELONG IN MALLS ( maybe as a separate building sharing the same parking lot, but not IN our malls. ) Thank you Viewpoint Mall for a delightful shopping experience and an additional thank you to Applebee's for a wonderful way to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Viewmont Mall has been the most successful indoor mall in Northeast Pennsylvania. While others have been either closed or repurposed, Viewmont has been lucky with attracting and maintaining tenants.
There is plenty of parking available and around 90 percent of the mall is filled at the time of this review. It is a single floor, and anchor stores include Macyās, JCPenney, and Dickās Sporting Goods (temporarily closed to remodel as Dickās House of Sports as of March 2023). You will also find your mall regulars such as Spencerās, Ulta Beauty, Forever 21, and Old Navy. HomeGoods is also attached but is only accessible via outside entrances.
Viewmontās food court is small but ample. Places to get food include a pizza joint, Auntie Anneās, Cinnabon, a Chinese takeout, and Buffalo Wild Wings. There is also an arcade that just moved into that space and Applebeeās is towards the middle of the mall.
Overall it is what you would expect from a mall. Itās right off of I 81 making it convenient for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreZales Store- Terrible Lazy staff that gives you a very hard time to make an exchange & refuse to help you make the exchange. They offer a leasing option to pay & they act like they dont know how to work w that giving customers a difficult experience to use that option. And act like they really dont care to use that method of purchase. Alexandra was all smiles & doing her best to help me w my purchase but when I returned 2 days later to make an exchange I was given an attitude & they refused to help me with the exchange & so I just returned the item. They got even more unpleasant & they also got that back in return. It was humiliating to say the least. Not a good look for the Zales company. They need to get a more knowledgable staff that knows how things work best for the experience of there customers! I for 1 will not return to this or any other Zales...
