DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Seabrook

The stores EXIT and CASH REGISTER location/design layout is TERRIBLE. I understand anti theft prevention and all but If You don’t buy anything (which I didn’t)… you literally have to sneak past ALL the other people in line (which isn’t ideal since there is only ONE line that funnels into a small checkout section that leads to the ONLY exit). I literally had to interact and say excuse me and sneak by 15-20 other people in the ONE line to exit the store (all people in line were 1 foot of each other). This is not ideal at all…. Never mind during COVID times. I actually got anxiety SIMPLY trying to exit the store without purchasing an item. To the point I almost felt trapped in the store. I have not felt this way in any other store. I’m surprised this design layout would even pass fire/emergency evacuation safety standards. I will not enter the store again unless I know for certain that I’m buying something. On second thought, I probably will not be back due to this...

The curbside pickup process could not have been any easier. I ordered my shoes online, before the store opened, and received an email notifying me my sneakers were ready to be picked up within 5 minutes of the store opening. When I got to the store, there were clearly marked parking spots available for curbside pickup with a phone number to call. That was the best part because I'm always afraid of my phone not getting service so I like to have the phone number. When I called the number, they answered right away and were out within 90 seconds; tossed my shoes in the backseat of my carn and I was on my way. I went into the store, located off Spaulding Tpk Exit @ the OLD Newington Mall and was received by a gentleman in the golf dept that took time to have me swing nimerous drivers, with knowlegable input, guaging club head speed vs shaft type and driver head. Like anyone, it's difficult to accept that you're better off with a senior shaft, but he managed to do it without making me feel like I was over the hill. I am over the hill, but really didn't need to hear it. He convinced me that I didn't need to spend $100 extra to buy an M-1, I was hitting the ball solidly, with minor inconsistancy, and I walked out of the store with a new M-2, with $100 still in my bank account.
