EDIT: unfortunately Lisa I have called and asked for you specifically but instead you had me transferred to the newington store after your manager on duty had to hear the first part of the conversation that was meant to be had with you. So I’d be glad to speak with you on the phone DIRECTLY, this would require you to take the call though and not just dodge it and make someone else deal with your poor customer service ability :)
We had gone to this location back in the fall of 2023 to have my engagement ring inspected for the warranty, they had a young lady working there who was originally from the Newington store. no issues with her as she was a newer employee and still learning. she told me my diamond had a crack in it and would be replaced under the warranty. I received a call that it was not in fact cracked and she was wrong and that the line was just a natural imperfection in the diamond, this was told to me by Lisa the store manager. she talked smack about the Newington store and how they don't train their employees well. I was told every single diamond sold was to be put under the microscope to see all the natural impurities of the stone. That's all fine, Lisa made us think we were in good hands going to her store instead of Newington. Fast forward to my fiancé and myself going back in to get my wedding band and his wedding band ordered. When I ordered mine and it came in shocking enough Lisa did not put my new ring under the microscope something she pressed so hard Newington did not do, due to their lack of training. I did bring this up and was met with condescending attitude that "yes, we can do that" when it should have been done the first day I went to pick the ring up. My fiancé was sized there for his ring and was sized incorrectly 3 times by Lisa herself and two other employees explaining his hands would "swell" and he would be fine, by the last ring he received it was so loose it still flew right off his finger but with Lisa's guarantee he kept it past the 30 day return policy. Fast forward to us going back to the Newington location, unhappy with it being 42 days to my wedding day at the time and the ring just flying off his hand. Newington was able to pull out a completely different sizing kit and size him CORRECTLY to and 8.5 when Lisa's team sized him to a 10, then a 9.This is a tungsten ring so it can only be sized to half sizes not quarter. Lisa has always been very abrupt and almost rushing on the phone when calling with my frustrations with her store. She even tried sending my ring home without a box when picking it up when i sent it with a box. She pathetically mailed one and a "I'm sorry gift" of a cleaning kit in our last exchange. When i called a few weeks ago to speak with Lisa about my discontent about the paper weight she sold my fiancé she couldn't be bothered to come to the phone or even call me back, instead had her co worker call Newington and have me transferred over there. Lisa will sell sell sell but she does not have the costumer service skills to rectify any real issues clients have. Drive a little further to Newington and go see Stacey, she has fixed this whole issue with his ring just a mere 22 days before my wedding. Stacey has the customer in mind and actually cares about her job. I bought a ring for my Mother’s birthday. I paid for an extra stone to be put in. When my girlfriend when to pick it up for me, she was told the additional stone wasn’t paid for and she needed to pay before she could get it. She has to go in a different day when the staff was there I purchased it from. They confirmed I already paid.
The ring finally arrived and my mom gets it sized at her local Kay. They send it away for sizing. When it comes in, she goes to pick it up and the entire band breaks. A brand new ring. They say they will send it away again and add a thick piece of gold to brace where it broke. Brand new rings and it needs a modification to repair. Will never purchase anything...
