I shop at Hobby Lobby in Seabrook, NH mostly in summer because we live nearby in summer. End of summer, I purchased some glass decorative knobs and when I got home one was broken. I put it back in the bag with the receipt, put it in my glove compartment, forgot about it. Today i was in the area, i stopped in to shop and I tried to return the broken knob for credit toward my purchase. I showed my receipt to the cashier and she had to call the manager because it was over 90 days. I thought that was reasonable. The Manager came up and after cashier quietly filled her in, she, the manager, turned to me and said, You bought it broken. I said, apparently, because when i got home and opened the bag it was broken. Im only asking for credit toward my purchase which you give without a receipt. Her response was, Sorry we don't take back damaged goods. I said , but I bought it that way. She said, You did't see it was broken before you bought it? I said, If i had, I wouIdn't have purchased it. Im only asking for credit toward my purchase, which you give without a receipt. She repeated, Our policy is, We don't take back damaged goods. I said, Let me see if i understand you correctly, You sell damaged goods at regular prices unbeknownst to patrons, but you won't accept the return of such items. She repeated, That is our policy. Then she added, We dont carry them anymore. I said, You certainly do and I proceeded to the aisle where they were. I went back to her, held it up and said, FYI. She completely ignored me. On my way out, I heard someone who was behind me in line say, Now isn't that the Christian way! BTW..Did i mention the knob was under $5.00. In summary, according to the manager on duty today at the Seabrook, NH location.... Hobby Lobby Return Policy: No returns on items which are broken/damaged when purchased. It is the patron's responsibility to examine our products before purchasing. Hobby Lobby is not responsible for items we sell which are broken or damaged. Perhaps that explains why the back of their receipt says, We reserve the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of certain products and non-receipted items. Thank you for shopping at...
Read moreBarbra and Molly, thank you thank you thank you!! I came to Hobby Lobby for help with a frame I needed for my wedding. We had a record made of our first dance and wanted a frame and use it as our guest book. I didn’t want a book that collects dust on the shelf, rather something we can use in our home. I brought the record to Hobby Lobby in Seabrook. Barbra and Molly saw my vision and brought my dreams to reality! They both took much time talking about the frame color, what color background would look best, what size to do and how to position the record. They were so kind in casual conversation as well, wishing us good lucks, looking at photos of my fiancé and I, and questions about the wedding. I received the call it was ready for pick up, my mind was blown, it’s eveything I hoped for. I can’t wait to bring it to the wedding and personalize it with our friends and family. Barbra and Molly, thank you so much for everything you did, your artistry will be a lifelong piece and I’ll forever think of you!
It is still wrapped due to travel for the wedding, once we get the signature and hang it up, i’ll update the photos!

Read moreHad a very unpleasant experience here today. Im disappointed in management for not upholding an employees word. I called the store before I drove 35 minutes there, to ask if a gift could be returned without a receipt. I was told yes on a store credit so I headed to the store. The minute the associate looked at my items she asked me if it was Christmas. I thought she was referring to it being a Christmas gift I said yes but she said the actual items are Christmas items (they were two rustic wooden star garlands) and I did not know that at all since it didn't appear holiday themed to me. I explained that I called had called before coming in and I hoped the manager would honor what I was told over the phone but each manager that came over was extremely curt and borderline rude just refusing with no apologies. Almost treating me like I did something wrong? I drove all the way here because I called first but I did end up wasting my time and gas. If this is a policy they stick to so strongly perhaps they should train all employees to explain that to the customer when asking...
