Purchased an electric recliner for my 79 year old grandmother with the lift and back support. This is the only chair she sits in throughout the day due to a back issue. The chair arrived the end of February and a month ago the controller stopped working. We purchased the warranty, so called the store and asked how to start the process of getting the chair repaired. We had to send pictures and fill out a form to submit to their claims department. This was over 2 weeks she was without a chair waiting for a tech to come and look. We took matters into our own hands and picked a controller up for the store to switch out and see if that was the problem, It was a temporary fix as the chair stopped working again. The tech that came out said the chair wasnāt fixable, but now they are bringing a new motor on Monday to try and repair the chair. Calling the store they are rude and short with our family and even laugh when we ask about what is going on. I just asked Robert if there was a return policy, as this is not even six months old, and he responded no. They are extremely rude and act like we are a bother to be asking. There is an elderly woman who is having to lay in bed all day due to the broken chair. Not asking for special treatment, but it would be nice to at least be treated with some customer service and respect. I would never purchase from Hanks again and I do not recommend their warranty program either. Absolutely disgusted that this is what is acceptable in...

We live in town so we were surprised that there were delivery and assembly fees. We were not told that if we pick up the furniture ourselves, there would be assembly required for each piece. After a bit of a hassle and a not so nice store manager, a gentleman did come out for our first piece (couch) and assembled for free. However, the stated delivery date for our accent chair and our recliner kept getting pushed. We are almost 2 months after order and still no recliner. Our chair did finally come in...but still no free delivery and assembly. We are truly disappointed in Hank's. We ordered from them because of the good recommendations, however, we could not in good faith recommend them to anyone else. The customer service in our first encounter was great....however, the service thereafter (after getting payment of course) was not good. Thankfully we bought our adjustable bed from another company and had it delivered and set up same day....FOR FREE! Hank's has been a disappointment and we have certainly let our friends and family know about the difficulty in getting our furniture in a timely manner. We will not be purchasing anything else...

I bought a couch and love seat on march 1st and was told by Latasha it was the last one and 50th anniversary sale so I bought it and paid for it and was told it would be delivered the next week so I woul have time to get my old one out of my house. TODAY I got a voicemail from the manager Frank saying there was a mistake with the manufacturer. I went up to hanks in person and ask Frank why he sold my furniture. He said I didn't we Dont sell floor modes. I said Latasha told me and my wife that is what we were buying. FRANK called her and told me there was a misunderstanding. I said she lied to me and my wife to make a sale. That point Frank defended her till the end saying she was not a liner all red faced and mad. Latasha never said it was ordered and even said I could take it home today. Frank does not need to represent Hanks and if a sales persons lies to get a slale is unceptabl and morall wrong.. I pray the owner see this and makes sure it don't happen to anyone else. Frank is no manger. I pray home office calls me..HANKS IS A BUNCH OF CROOKS.
