Guacamole Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Searcy

Sorry, this place was a zero for me. I wanted to love it, I wanted to go into the bar, have a cocktail and dinner. Maybe it was the fact the bartender was the only one in there, waiting tables and bartending on a Friday night.. I will give him that (which is the only reason this place rated a 2 star and not a 1 star)...but there was no reason for him to be rude to the point I was apologizing for asking him for anything, almost making me tear up, with embarrassment for my imposition on him. When we FINALLY got our food, it was certainly nothing to write home about either, cookie cutter, like you would get from any low end Mexican restaurant, who goes from frozen to heated to the table. If there is anything homemade I couldn't tell. There are many other Mexican restaurants here, who can serve beverages and quality food without making you feel like you are a HUGE imposition on them. I absolutely will not be going back to Guacamole...

I had the shredded chicken taco salad. It was so good. They put a little guacamole on theirs. Not alot of places do that. There was alot of chicken, so no shortage on the meat. The flour bowl didn't taste like old oil. It was fresh tasting. There were 8 of us. We all had something diff. I didn't hear 1 person say anything negative about their food. Our waiter was very pleasant & attentive. This will be my new favorite Mexican Restaurant to eat at in this area. I have been so disappointed with the other ones in this area for awhile. I really appreciate the cook(s) & whoever prepared our food onto the plates. It was not all sloppy thrown together. It was perfect. The price is about the average price you'll pay anywhere else. I had the vegetarian fajita which was delicious! It had veggie combination like no other restaurant I've ever been to. Very good & I felt like they took great care to keep the grease from the meat out of it, unlike other restaurants. & I really appreciate that! Their salsa was divine! Perfect amount of cilantro! Their chips were light & perfectly crisp. Guacamole was good. All was good! Our server was friendly & prompt! I had a margarita that was also delicious. Hubs had the diablo shrimp dish which he felt was too spicy. I also tasted it... fully what I expected... it's definitely got heat on it, but that is why they call it "diablo"... anyway dually noted, hubs can order something else next time!
