Amazing flowers designed with care, compassion and lots of heart.
I have had three recent experiences that have been top notch.
My other passed away recently.
First, I received a sympathy boquet from my work team. It was stunning, fresh and inspired the flowers I would choose for my mom's internment. I sent an email to Avena at Love's Buds and Blooms; her response was quick, respectful and gave me confidence she knew how important this was to me.
Secondly, I wanted a floral piece that said "Mom" in floral/wet/oasis foam that she could not source. She tried her wholesalers, Amazon and other places she uses to "get creative" to meet her customer's wishes. She quickly, honestly and with sensitivity let me know it would not happen. She gave me a few other options, clearly trying to find a solution for me. She knew it mattered. We moved on.
Avena and I met to choose flowers, she listened, gave ideas and treated me gently as I talked through the value and meaning of the flowers I was choosing. Her humanity showed through every step of the way. I'm excited to see the final pieces at mom's internment.
Thirdly, I asked her to create something pretty for me personally that was being paid for by the company I work for. Awkward to choose your own gift flowers, but she took my budget and wanted to surprise me with when it would be delivered and what it would lok like to try to make it feel special. It did exactly that!
I know I'm a customer and pretty danged emotional right now, yet Avena's beautiful flowers were absolutely stunning. And I knew that she tried, and sucessfully did, was to make them feel like they were for me. Not my mom, not my family, but me. Those flowers finally let me breathe and smile and not feel pinned under the burden of grief.
Avena and her shop have become "my forever florist". I know that no matter what the event, celebration or "just because" she will design flowers that will carry the sentiment intended.
The flowers are very fresh and I feel the value is phenomenal.

Read moreWent in to purchase flowers, the sign CLEARLY said open but they are apparently closed to the public, despite the red open sign lit up. I decided to walk next door into Bonnie Watson funeral home and asked if the flower shop was closed, because the signed said open. The front desk called the flower shop and inquired about the locked door. I was told that they would help me, so I went back to the flower shop. As soon as they opened the door they were very rude and unfriendly and I felt like I was inconveniencing them. I was definitely confused as to why they would agree to help me if they were going to make me feel bad for being in there. I drove over an hour to bring my mom flowers on her birthday and people are using this flower shops services in their time of grief. In the future I will make sure to bring my own flowers with me instead of relying on their services. If they were in fact closed to the public they should turn off the open sign and not help the public, if they cannot do it with a kind attitude. The customer service was lacking to...
Read moreI'm a repeat customer and from the photo, you can probably see why.
I appreciate that I can call in from HI and the entire process is max 10-min. I simply tell the florist my all-in budget, what the occasion is and/or what's going on in the recipient's life, their preferred colors (personal or to match with home), and the result is a custom bouquet for a friend.
Speaking to the florist to achieve a unique, artistic bouquet is my preference vs the website, but of course that's also an option. This particular order, I believe, was completed by the owner which is pretty special.
One thing I tend to forget is the message on the card. Apparently I'm not the only one, so they are very patient with this.
It's always a good idea to send an 'I'm thinking of you' bouquet. And I love that I found a shop that is helpful, reliable, and...
