DIG Salon — Local services in Seattle

Ms. Franki took great care of my hair. If you are like me, you have been wistfully hoping for a haircut but not wanting to venture into any hair salons due to all the ongoing uncertainty. I was considering other salons in the area (Madison Park or the Hill) but not really feeling like I wanted to pull the trigger and book something-- and for good reason. Enter DIG Salon. I have walked by this adorable spot without knowing it's there I don't know how many times. One miraculous day, I paid a little bit more attention and noticed it was a hair studio! It had a single chair and a sweet little Dolly Parton book in the window -- I gasped in delight because I adore Ms. Dolly. So I walked home (aka across the street, I am lucky to live a block from this gem) and booked as soon as I could. I am totally thrilled! I haven't had a haircut in probably close to 2 years (I cut it myself because lockdown) and my hair was in a sad state of fishhook curls, breakage and knots. I wasn't even sure if I had curls any longer, they were that uncared for. So I brought Ms. Franki a few photos of what I was thinking (super short like Shirley Temple) and gave her carte blanche because I knew she was good. Franki is simply amazing. I've been going to her for several years now and I've never had a better stylist. She listens to what I want, but also suggests new ideas...things I'd never think of myself and it turns out fantastic. She is also a beautiful person, inside and out. I always get my hair colored so I'm there for several hours, but the time flies because we have the best conversations...and this is coming from someone who can be a bit of an introvert and hates small talk. My husband and I have been going to Franki for barber services for ten years, she is absolutely phenomenal. In addition to great haircuts, straight razor shaves, and her many other talents, Franki is also the most kind, warming, welcoming, humorous barber I’ve ever had. I always enjoy going to her shop, where you find an eclectic and tasteful mix of decor, including her fabulous Dolly Parton items. Franki is truly the Dolly Parton of her industry. I can’t say enough great things and will enjoy continuing to support her for many more...
