Seattle's Astra Lumina | I Think It's Skippable

It was beautiful and very unique. Lots of parking(should’ve been included in entrance fee; there’s no other place to park otherwise.) So here’s a heads up for those with disabilities and mental health issues: The walkway is a dirt path with pebbles so wear appropriate shoes. If it’s raining, wear covered shoes or boots because it’s muddy and slippy. The path isn’t well lighted so you may want to bring a headlamp or small flashlights. If you are epileptic or have ptsd with flashing lights and lasers…there’s several exhibit’s with flashing lights or lasers that can be quite intense, so be prepared. Now here’s what needs to be addressed: the entrance is confusing and dark; really dark. I have night blindness so it was difficult to navigate. First you go through a metal detector, then you are corralled through dark ropes (in the dark) to sign waivers, then you have to wait and check your email for confirmation of signature (go through the white tent where they assist you with the waiver, then give you the entry sticker. Once you get the sticker can go into the actual entry line. Once you get to the entrance, you have to click on the QR code to get a map and brief explanation of each of the exhibits. Watch out though, LOTS…TONS…of content creators blocking the path for pictures. Dodge and weave throughout the path because they just stop abruptly and block the entire path. Stay alert for the second exhibit which includes a fog machine with sounds of outdoor insects and creatures; it could be scary for kids. I know this review is long, but I’m disabled and was thinking it was gonna be lit up and on a paved path like the zoo lights. So I felt compelled to note all of this so others aren’t taken by surprise and upset. Have a safe and Happy New Year. Have fun.
