I really wanted to love this salon and even gave them four chances before writing this review. Unfortunately, each visit left me more disappointed than the last. On my first visit, Lily did my nails and cut eight of my fingers. I still tipped her $40, hoping it was just a bad day. Afterwards, I got a face wax and was charged $55 for only my chin and sideburns, which felt very overpriced. On my second visit, another tech prepped my nails beautifully—no cuts and a pleasant experience. She didn’t know how to do cat eye, so Lily stepped in. During this appointment, I noticed Lily elbowing the other tech when she laughed at one of my jokes, which made the environment feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. But I still tipped the lovely tech. By my third visit, I went in just for a wax and realized I’d been overcharged the first time, since this time they included my brows, lip, chin, and sideburns all together. Today was my fourth and final visit. I brought my 6-year-old daughter, who has been excited to get her nails done. Unfortunately, I got Lily again for my cat eye fill, and she cut four of my fingers this time. She was rough throughout the entire appointment, and I didn’t feel comfortable letting my daughter get her nails done after seeing how I was treated. To top it off, when I went to pay, the man at the counter pushed me for a tip, asking “Cash or Venmo?” which left me feeling pressured and disheartened. I work nearby at the medical clinic and really wanted this to be my go-to salon, but after four visits, I can confidently say this is not the place for me. Consistency, kindness, and care are the bare minimum customers deserve—sadly, I didn’t receive that here.
The overall quality of the work is good however the experience was not. I was taken care of almost immediately as they had just opened and were not busy. The water for my pedicure was cold and after letting her know it was cold she begrudgingly adjusted it and I settled for room temp water so to move the process along. The pedicure quality was nice but towards the end she poked my toes a few times and got distracted with the file and cut the skin on my toe. I felt it but thought it was ok until I realized it was bleeding and had to get her attention to stop the bleeding. She clotted the cut and used alcohol to disinfect which was painful without warning. At the end, the price was a bit more than some of my usual places but gave them a chance as they were quick with accommodating me. I got a pedicure and SNS manicure. They both turned out really nice but my toes were in pain for a few days as my shoes rest right on top of the cuts and pokes on my toes. Beauty is...
Read moreI never leave reviews but I just had a manicure and pedicure here that were painful, literally. Both technicians were so harsh with removing shellac, removing cuticles, and with filing. I was trying not to wince for most of my experience. The pedicure looks fine, but one of the products they used is making my feet itchy. My manicure is a mess, the layers weren’t applied evenly and the technician left a bunch of shellac polish on my skin, even after I drew attention to it. I’m still trying to file it off.
I’ve been going to this place for 10 years as a backup when my preferred salon is booked. Has it ever been a great experience? No. But it was reasonably priced and decent quality. But this manicure/pedicure cost me $100 with tip and I will end up having to pay for another manicure to fix this one.
I won’t be back again. There are just so many better options available in the...
