I had a couple pieces of chicken that were overcooked, but the rest --and all of my husband's portion-- were moist and tender. The teriyaki was perfect, with extra sauce available on the tables. The salad dressing was delicious and the rice cooked perfectly. The portion size is great for $7.45!! They have a lunch special for $5, and evidently their spicy chicken is amazing. We'll definitely be back!
It's a simple, no-frills ambience, with walk-up counter service and a large, pictorial menu high on the wall. It seems like a family spot, with Ballard High posters mixed in with the artwork. Read moreWe wanted to have an authentic Seattle teriyaki experience, so we had been directed to Sunny Teriyaki. All in all, it was just alright. Nothing terribly special and while it was supposed to be known to be sweet & savory, we all found it all to be incredibly salty.
We did the spicy chicken and the pork - the portions were huge and more than enough for multiple meals or to share amongst 4 people. The meals are served with white rice and a simple salad with a surprisingly delightful, light dressing.
