If you are a veteran with a good heart, do not go here. They gave me no information on procedures nor supplied proper bedding. Apparently if you have a job and don’t make it in before 11, you’re stuck outside. If you work three days in a row then you get kicked out. Unbeknownst to me, they are supposed to take your left behinds as a donation and strip your bed and throw personal items away. When I arrived, as I told them I would because I couldn’t get i things by myself, the guys at the front desk acted like they did not know who I was. After a brief argument they proceeded to the room to get my things to gather my things. Upon leaving I noticed my luggage was extremely light. they said that they packed everything and that everything else was thrown in the trash. they stole my items and they show no respect for war veterans. then they ask me “what do you think we can do about it because your things are already gone? how do we proceed from here? What do you want to do?” I didn’t know, I had just lost every piece of clothing I had and my roommate had on my shirt and my shoes in his laundry bag. That was my own error, as the world turned. They demanded full control over my case mgmt, rather than cooperation with my existing case manager; associated with the VA - and Jim was quite competent as well. They didn’t care, evidently they wanted full credit - the direct result was another year being homeless! If only I had stayed on at the Bread, I’d have had a much...
