This is a great boutique hotel in a perfect location in Seattle! It is definitely MUCH better than other Hilton Brand hotels we’ve stayed at in the past few years. We had given up on Hilton properties since almost all have been awful from Hilton Garden Inns, Hampton Inns, Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites, etc, and it didn’t matter where they were located. We had Hilton Honor points to use so we selected this hotel based on reviews & its location. It did not disappoint. It far exceeded our expectations. The lobby is small but it has great ambience & character. There is a fireplace just off the lobby with seating to just kick back & relax. All the staff were extremely friendly & helpful. They provided directions to the closest light rail station since we mentioned that we wanted to take it to the airport the next day. Also, we asked for additional water (we were given 2 at check-in) after exploring the city after checking in & there was only 1 at the front desk. The gentleman on duty in the evening had 4 sent up to our room without us even asking. That was so AWESOME!
The room was GREAT! We were in 713 & never had to wait long for an elevator. The view from the room was partial waterfront & overlooked 2nd Ave. We didn’t hear the street noise very much even though it is a very busy street. The room was on the small side but had everything we needed in it. It was bright & very inviting. The bed was extremely comfortable. The mattress was perfect, no lumps or sagging & the pillows were nice & fluffy. We slept great! The sofa in the room was very comfortable, also, and we had no problems sitting on it since we didn’t feel like it was dirty or grimy, which hasn’t been the case in many other hotels. There was a big in-room safe that held our 2 laptops, binoculars, digital camera, & few other things. The was a small refrigerator & wine bottle opener which was a nice touch. There were also robes & slippers in the closet.
The bathroom was bright & had a lot of natural light because it doesn’t have traditional walls. The main wall is made of glass, which was different, but we liked it. This glass wall does have a shade that can be rolled down for privacy. There is an oversized soaking tub that fills from the ceiling. So cool! The view from the tub is directly into the bedroom area through the glass wall & you can watch TV while taking a relaxing bath. The toilet area has frosted glass for some privacy. The shower is a little small but efficient and has dispensers on the wall for shampoo, conditioner & body wash. We did have a problem with the shower as it leaked a little into the toilet area which is adjacent to it. We didn’t report it since we were only staying 1 night. The towels were plush & luxurious. They appeared to be new & very gently used. The hair dryer was better quality than at other hotels & didn’t make my wife’s hair frizzy.
This hotel doesn’t have typical ice machines, which was very refreshing. The ice was in plastic bags in freezers near the elevator. This made it very convenient to get ice. Loved this idea. More hotels should adopt this concept. As for location, the hotel is located a few walking blocks from the bus station, Pioneer Station, & University Station, 2 Light Rail stations. It is also a few blocks to the Waterfront & around a 10-minute walk to Pike Place Market & the original Starbuck’s. The hotel is located on a relatively flat street & you don’t need to walk up/down any hilly streets if you don’t want to.
We highly recommend Hotel 1000. We would definitely stay here again when...
Read moreBefore I left, I was reading reviews of the hotel and got a little scared for how many recent low reviews there were. But as someone whose worked in customer service, you either get 100% or 0% there's no in between and being a high-end hotel higher in clientele have higher standards. So I still went in with an open mind and here is my honest review. As someone who loves to travel and has stayed at a lot of hotels in the past couple years and who likes to stretch the dollar. This is a very, very nice hotel and I would stay again. I think it's held back a little bit by renovations and the change of ownership to being part of the Hilton portfolio under the relatively small LXR collection. I have had really good experiences with Hilton in the past and I still will continue to stay with them. If not, why else would I be a diamond member? I did get an upgrade not to a suite but at the same time I don't really care. I have a nice water view with a nice room that when we had housekeeping which I don't always get but this time I did. Everything was very well taken care of and clean. The Nespresso machine was a nice welcome. We did reach out for a microwave and they brought it up the second time we asked and the room service was a little too truffily but otherwise good and quick. You can tell the rooms on the older side but they have kept it in very good condition and as they are remodeling the lobby and the other places of the hotel rooms might be next. And judging that this was a very tech savvy hotel to begin with with virtual golf simulator which was not up and running yet. Some other technology will be implemented hopefully in the future and as someone who likes technology (Hilton DoubleTree in Rome Italy is top notch for small technology touches that are easy to use) I would very much want to come back stay again because the location is phenomenal. We were very well taking care of, not Ritz-Carlton, Waldorf Astoria, or JW Marriott level, but you're also not paying that price for this hotel at about half price. Chocolates we're waiting for us (and very good ones) as well as a handwritten card in the room. For our occasion we went for and just a very nice relaxing place and for someone who likes cars you do get to hear the cars driving up and down the street. Maybe in the future a little bit more sound installation of windows might be another welcome bonus. As someone who likes cars, the best analogy for this place is it's a BMW 5 series or Mercedes E class. It's more premium than a Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry. It gets you from A to B in comfort style and refinement, but it's not an Mercedes S class. It's not a BMW 7 series and definitely not a Maybach or Rolls-Royce. But it gets the job done and you do feel a little special. In the future, I can almost guarantee if I go up and stay again, it'll be a five...
Read moreAs a Hilton Diamond member, I used points to stay here specifically for the bath and views from the room. My husband and I arrived on 4/9/2025 5pm only to find out our room was not ready yet. Check in time is normally 4pm and we had just drove over 3 hours only to have to sit and wait for our room to be ready. We were sent to the bar to enjoy 2 free cocktails while we waited for our room to be completed. Once we were finally able to access our room, I headed for the bath. I filled the tub up halfway and noticed black material floating on top of the water so, I used my phone to get an up close picture of the black material (see photo) It ended up being a plastic-like mesh material coming from the water (which comes from the ceiling)…at least it wasn’t hair but still gross! The front desk sent housekeeping up the evening of 4/9 to clean the bath again even though they were told that the material was coming from the water itself….not the bath tub. The tub was filled and emptied multiple times and the black material persisted in the water. We also discovered mold/mildew along the caulking in our shower so, maintenance was sent up the next day on 4/10/2024 while we were out of our room for my husbands appointments at Harborview. Maintenance was able to remedy the black material in the water and they also recaulked the shower and tiles surrounding the exterior shower. Evening of 4/10, The bath was filled up again with water reaching the overflow drain this time. Large chunks of mildew were dislodged from the interior portion of the overflow drain and were now floating in the bath. Yuck 🤮. While our “room” was pretty great and the views phenomenal, I cannot give more than 2 stars based on the multiple problems we had with mold/mildew. A front office manager was also notified of the mildew coming from the overflow drain upon our check out on 4/11.
Now that the bad part is out of the way, the good part: Valet staff ALL provided us excellent service with both parking and assisting us to/from our room. Our bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept on….literally!! The sheets and down comforter were very comfortable and soft. The view from our corner room overlooking the city, mountains and pier were beautiful! The 3 front desk managers who assisted me with issues during our stay were very helpful and friendly.
I was offered some compensation on our stay but, it just doesn’t change the fact that we were not able to fully enjoy our room during our stay due to mold/mildew issues. I would love to be able to make a better review if given the...
