This place is awesome! I’ve been to two classes here, dance club with Medora and the Afrobeats class and both were doable for a first timer. I have had dance class experience, but I had never been to these classes before and the way they are formatted means that you can scramble along even if you’ve never been there before. There are 2 to 4 minute songs, and the eight counts are repeated so you can pick it up after a while. I can see where if you come from week to week, you would have the dances down like the rest of the class. The biggest, and most lovable thing about community fitness is the warm and friendly reception I’ve had each time I’ve come there. Not just by the teachers but by the class members . I always seem to have a conversation or get high-fives or encouragement from the people around me. They have towels and water and lots of space to store Your stuff. Registration is efficient, parking isn’t terrible in that area. I’m excited to try more classes even though I live about 30 minutes...
Read moreI’ve been going to Community Fitness for about four months now, and it’s such a welcoming environment—especially Cat’s dance classes. And I almost don’t want to tell you how amazing Kayla is as a Body Pump instructor… only because I don’t want her class to get too full!
Kayla truly excellent at what she does. The other instructors are great, but Kayla really stands out. She gives clear, detailed instructions and really makes sure you’re protecting your back during every exercise. She’s motivating in a way that feels authentic, not cheesy, and I genuinely look forward to her classes. I used to hate Body Pump, and now I’d go to her class at 3 AM if she taught it.
The only thing I would say about Community Fitness is that folks that work a job that they need to be in person for at 8AM kind of miss out on the daytime classes! Would totally love if classes could be offered from 6 AM to 7 AM! But understand that they are probably at the mercy of the instructor’s...
Read moreI absolutely love the dance classes and the community. I lived in Seattle this past summer for a few months, and going to Community Fitness was the highlight of my week. I'm now back in Utah, and I do Kat's Dance Fitness class at least once a week virtually. I struggle with body image and related issues but LOVE to dance - it makes me feel free and confident. Kat's class is seriously what I need every single week to connect to my inner bad b*tch 😊 The way Kat instructs and engages with the class make everyone feel sexy, confident, and empowered. The other dance classes are also...
