The kraken is my home away from home 🥰 Even since I've become sober I still go whenever I can 😊 It has the best vibes, the biggest family of people who care about each other, amazing food, great pinball, and badass punk shows 🤟🔥 The new location is absolutely beautiful, they put so much work into it and it shows 🥰 They have more alcohol free drinks available now too!

There is not a place in Seattle I feel more safe at and welcome than the Kraken Bar and Lounge! Welcome back 💜

Old review from 2022: The Kraken Bar & Lounge has always been big in my heart 💜 And always been one of my fav placed to chill in seattle. But tonight was so amazing 🥰🥰🥰 I've never felt so protected, safe, and welcome somewhere In my life. Me and my friend were being harassed by some old drunk guy. Who was being very inappropriate. And crossed many lines. They not only cut him off from drinking. But when he tried to follow us back to the pinball machines, they stopped him and kicked him out. 💜 then they made sure we knew we were okay and felt safe. And let us know if anyone ever makes us uncomfortable that they will take care of the situation 🥰🥰🥰 Best bar in the world. Best punk family in the NW. People here really love and look after you 😊 Also play a few great games of pinball 💜

Bad energy. I went there a few times and never noticed- then I went one time with my wife and it was clear. Bad energy (decent food, weak drinks, pinball) (Way back during the pandemic we wanted to support local businesses that were open. We came to the bar which was open and had its front door open but as we stood in the doorway reading some sign that was posted on the door we received real negativity and bad energy from the bartender at his bar about not having masks on while we hadn’t even come inside yet (and I could see people at the bar without masks on. I said let’s go somewhere else but my wife wasn’t convinced yet so she put on her mask and went in to order drinks to bring to their little outdoor seating area but very soon my wife returned with no drinks- it seems that a vaccination certificate had been demanded of her. Well, we actually did have those with us but by that time we were both fairly fed up not just with the treatment but with the manner of the treatment. I stepped inside to have a quick unpleasant yelling match with the A Hs there. And I see the bar has moved but unfortunately is still in our neighborhood but we will never try to go...

Does the Kraken charge a cover fee? I was meeting some friends who had gotten there before me and hadn't been charged, but when I showed up I was asked to pay a $10 cover fee in cash only. The drinks, games, and atmosphere inside were great, but the fact that I was the only one asked to pay honestly ruined the night for me. I felt humiliated because it seemed like I wasn't welcome there. I don't have a problem paying cover fees, but it's not right to charge some people and not others.
