I hate to write negative reviews but I’ve been very disappointed on my last few visits here. I had such a fabulous pedicure here once before but I have yet to have a good experience since then. I booked online the day before and my appointment was canceled an hour before it was supposed to start. I was rescheduled to later in the day, which is ok. The problem is that I continued to feel disappointed throughout the rescheduled appointment. I asked if we had enough time and showed a picture of what I was looking for and was assured they could do it. It was so rushed. My nails weren’t able to properly dry and I wasn’t able to have proper time to pick the colors I wanted. I asked for two nails to be redone because the polish was chunky (because they were rushing). My nails still didn’t look much better after getting “fixed.” My nails are not the same length, have streaks, and are not the same shape. They aren’t even the length I asked for. I was then told that I was “done” and immediately ushered to the cash register. Online, Gel X is priced at $60. My total somehow was raised to $80 for a “long nail” charge and for having different colors. I still cannot believe this end cost. Prices were not transparent, and honestly it felt like I was upcharged because the nail artist was annoyed with me. I’ll have to spend more money to get them fixed tomorrow. So disappointed. See the pictures of my $80 (+tip) “long” nails… I also want to add that I am not the kind of person to ask for things to be fixed. I felt like I had to here and it was SO uncomfortable!! For $80+ I had to speak up.

Amazing service, attentive staff and could get in without an appointment. Highly recommend trying their mani pedi

I visited Kim Studio Nails for a full acrylic set with a simple design. I have been getting my nails done for years and am familiar with the process. The nails were done inconsistently; all the lengths were different, and when I pointed out that one of the tips were put on crookedly, my artist told me that it will get fixed once she puts on the powder (picture attached, the tip was put on bending my real nail off my finger). She packed on the powder and my left hand was so thick that it looked like there were 4 nail tips glued on top of each other. I also pointed out that she made a nail way shorter than the other hand, and then she proceeded to sand down the longer one even though I told her that was the length I wanted. She ignored my comments to fix/re-do some of the nails. She did do a great job with the design, but the actual acrylic set looked horrible. Her process was also very wrong, for example, sanding the nail after the design was painted on. It seemed like she was rushing to get me out, usually a set takes 3 hours and it took her a little over an hour. The set was $80 and I left upset. I ended up calling Kim and asking if she personally could fix the nails that were bad. I returned a few hours later and she did do a much better job, but I sat there for another 1.5 hours because she was hopping back and forth between multiple patrons. I won't be returning, there are a bunch of other salons near by this one that are much better.

This was hands down the worst nail salon experience I’ve ever had.

I made a phone appointment in advance, but the staff clearly didn’t understand English. I had to repeat and spell my name three times, yet they still failed to schedule me. When I walked in, no one greeted me or offered any help — not even a single word. I sat there confused and ignored for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me.

When a staff member finally did approach, I tried to confirm whether a pedicure was included. Due to her extremely thick accent and poor communication, she used her foot to kick mine to signal a pedicure — which was completely inappropriate and shocking.

It took a full 30 minutes after my arrival before they even began my manicure. The tools they used were clearly not sanitized, and I could still see nail dust and residue from the previous customer. The technician was rough and careless with my nails, and during the service, she left in the middle to work on another client’s pedicure — then came back and resumed working on me without even washing her hands! I witnessed this with my own eyes, and it was incredibly disrespectful and unsanitary.

When I asked for a specific shape (square with rounded edges), she casually brushed it off and said she would fix it later. She never did. That night, my nails started to feel hot and painful — I believe the aggressive filing damaged my nail beds. It was so bad that I didn’t even want to go back there to have them removed.

This place is beyond unprofessional. Poor communication, unsanitary tools, aggressive handling, and zero customer care. I regret not walking out the moment I sat down. Never again...

I went in yesterday with a friend and unfortunately am really disappointed. I don’t get acrylics often, so I don’t know how much of this is normal, but when I compare mine to my friends service I can’t imagine it’s meant to be this way.

My nails are mostly all pointed upwards. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt and say its because my nails were fairly short, but my pointers are much flatter and more normal looking than the others despite being the same starting length. She also didn’t actually trim my cuticles at all, while I watched my friend get hers trimmed. Mine were sanded down using the tool, but they’re still looking really messy due to not actually being treated like you would normally get in a manicure. A lot of the polish doesn’t even cover my whole nail, or its bleeding over and looks messy. The acrylic is also SUPER thick and I know this can’t be right because my friends was much, much thinner and looked incredibly natural. The pinkies are also completely different lengths, and overall the shaping looks half-assed. It felt and seemed like she just wanted to get me out to accommodate for the other people waiting, but I wish they had just said they didn’t have time when we walked in. Overall, unfortunately, I don’t think I got $70 +tip worth of service.

I should have said something, but I honestly didn’t want to waste my friends time and I didn’t think to take a very close look at them because I should have been able to trust that they...
