I have been here once and I hope to come more often as I work in the neighborhood! They have a nice selection of drinks and food and the atmosphere is nice. Came here with coworkers, and we don’t get to spend time with each other outside of a work setting too much. The music was loud and it was a bit busy, we were a bit party and I genuinely couldn’t hear my coworkers across the table. One of the bartenders, person with red hair, came extremely aggressive, yelling at us to quiet down; without asking previously with any respect. If they came earlier and were respectful; that would have been very understandable and no issue at all! But they were hostile and completely ruined our evening. I politely asked if they could turn down the music, as I still couldn’t hear the rest of my party, and they responded VERY rudely with “I have to turn up the music because you guys were so loud”. Even the other people in the bar were raising eyebrows due to how hostile they were. I would absolutely never want to interact with this person again, as they seem to take out their rage on customers…when they work in customer service… However, Skye is an an excellent server and bartender! Skye was very nice, attentive, and friendly. Hope the other employees are as great as Skye when I return! But if the employee is there with red hair make sure you are extra quiet!! Edit: they didn’t seem too bothered when the table next to us was yelling while...

Went here with a group of 11 people and had a very mediocre experience. Waitstaff came very infrequently and would only take 3-4 drink orders at a time. They would intentionally turn quickly and walk away before others could request more, which made us feel like we are a bother by being there. Not sure why you wouldn’t write down orders and then just bring them out in waves if you need to. The empty cups and plates on the table didn’t get cleared. The food itself wasn’t good either - an example is that the schnitzel sandwich has paper thin meat so you are eating 95% breading and bread. I know people will say it’s because we had such a large group, but the place was not busy at all when we went. More than half the tables were empty. The atmosphere here is kinda cool and the beer prices aren’t outrageous, other than that I...

We were ignored when we arrived, so we decided to just sit down at a table. It was at least five minutes before anyone came to ask us if we wanted a drink, and after we received our drinks the waitress never came to ask about food. (We had to send someone to the bar to order) No one ever asked how we were doing, never asked if we wanted refills, never even brought us the check. (We had to send someone then too)

There didn't seem to be many people working that night (might just have been the one) so maybe it's not 100% her fault (though when I went to the bar to pay she was deep in a conversation about what beers Germans really drink) but that didn't make dinner any better.

Food menu extremely limited, overpriced, the food we got was ok but wouldn't call it good. Beer tasty but expensive.

Would...

We have been coming here in the evening for some time and are always pleased with the friendly service and fantastic + authentic German food. The seasonal rotation of meat pies has been a most welcome addition, and the turkey sandwich is crafted so perfectly on its pretzel bun that it is by far the best turkey sandwich I’ve ever had. But the real news of late is the beautiful brunch offering they have added this spring! The ambiance is much quieter on weekend mornings / early afternoons, and everything on the brunch menu knocks it out of the park (yes, I’ve tried it all at this point!) Portion sizes are massive, and reheat well, so it’s a multi-meal investment or perfect for sharing. Kudos for adding such a great family-friendly brunch option to the neighborhood!

Great dining experience. Service was not super fast but was on par with “European Style”, they don’t rush you and want you to enjoy your food. The servers were friendly and helpful. Beer selection is solid, including a nice selection of drafts. Had the Jägerschnitzel and the Käsespätzle with the mushroom gravy. Both dishes were very good and for a German restaurant in the US, I’d place them pretty highly. They’re changing up their weekend dining to accommodate a brunch, if you show up between 1pm and 3pm, there is no real food available, only French fries or pretzels, as the kitchen is changing over. I lived in Germany for four years, I consider this a good find and will be coming back.

This charming neighborhood bar boasts a German theme, featuring European-style community tables and a delightful old-world ambiance. I thoroughly enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere, making it an effortless spot to unwind and savor a quality beer (all of which are German). The server was a breeze to talk to, engaging in a friendly discussion about which beer would suit my palate. After sampling 2-3 options, I settled on one of the richer stouts. We ultimately indulged in the priciest pour, but it was absolutely worth it. I’m already looking forward to my next visit—punch card in hand—since they offer a rewards system with neat perks like mugs and other prizes.
