I have a lot to say about my experience with Savvy. My first time going here was a full 5 star experience. I went with a friend who paid for my service at the time. We got the spa pedicures that come with a stone massage and all the works. It was incredible and the price point was amazing. I like my pedicure so much that I decided to come back by myself. To give everyone context, I am Black and my friend who I came with is white.
When I came back on my own, I had a VERY different experience. I made my appointment for 10 am. When I get there I am being rushed to sit down while I'm trying to pick out a color. I was confused about why they seemed to be in such a rush as there was only me and two other people in this place getting services. But I pick my color and the pedicure starts. I am already noticing a huge difference in quality of service from my first time. My tech breezed through my pedicure, didn't ask me questions about shape I wanted for my toes, nothing. Before I know it, she starts to paint my toes without the massage at all. At the station next to me, a (white) person is getting the full pedicure service. I see their tech taking their time and doing the massage. So at this point, I speak up to my nail tech and ask about the massage and stone. She looks confused and asked me "you want a massage?" In which I reply with "isn't it included in the service?" "I'm confused because when I came here before, I got a massage with my pedicure." I'm also looking at the menu online to ensure that I booked the right service, ALL of the pedicures are "spa pedicures". So then starts to talk to a different nail tech in their language, the different nail tech assures me that I'll be getting my massage but the whole vibe in the salon shifted.
I did get the massage but it was done with the same quickness as the rest of my pedicure. I paid for my service and I still (begrudgingly) tipped even though I did not want to. It's frustrating knowing that they were going to give me lesser services even though I am paying the same amount as the people next to me. I dont want to make it racial, but I can only speculate about why they were okay with giving me the bare minimum of an experience. Weird, considering my first experience with them was amazing. It really makes one think. Don't go here if you're Black because they're probably not going to give you the full experience that...
Read moreIm writing this on my husbands account. I came into this establishment only a few days ago. The price was fair for my gel manicure which makes a lot of sense now because within 4 days, the polish chipped and cracked. One of my fingers now has half the polish ripped off and I dont do anything very strenous with my hands so there is no reason a gel manicure should have chipped off like this in a few days. When I called when they opened to see if they would fit me in really quickly just to fix one nail, they said they did not have any availability for many hours even though they just opened and it was a week day. I highly doubt they could not allow me to come in before work to fix one nail only because of their poor quality. A gel manicure should not chip off in 4 days. You get what you pay here, I guess. Buyer beware. Also, the attitude of basically all of these employees is just very cold and unwelcoming. From the first contact when I checked in for my appointment, I recieved no greeting. Not even a hello. The employees dont attempt to make any conversation whatsoever, and the entire experience just felt very judgemental. I will definitely not be coming back. You can certainly get a longer lasting gel manicure in a friendly environment for maybe a few...
Read morethis is me and my friend’s second horrible experience at this salon, and it will be our last. i wish i could give zero stars. this most recent experience we had left us incredibly dissatisfied and uncomfortable with the customer service. we had both picked colors completely different from what we got. i picked a dark brown, sparkly color, and ended up with a mustard shade. i had asked the tech several times if the shade would get darker and she assured me yes. my friend chose a pale nude color, and she ended up getting orange. each of her nails also had a different nail shape, with one completely sticking up and disconnected from the nail bed. after my friend finished she brought these complaints up to the nail tech and instead of treating her with respect, the entire salon team argued and blamed her for the result. i also expressed concern over the color and my nail tech told me it looked lighter because i have dark skin as a black woman, which was racially charged and completely unfounded in logic. all in all they were incredibly rude to both of us and failed to do their job. seriously never coming here again and i’m telling the rest of my friends to...
