Food is usually iffy, every once a month you'll get a good breakfast, good lunch and a good dinner. The staff is cool a but it's like if they having a bad day personally then they gonna be a pain to deal with. Most of them never like that but you gotta understand they people too. NO LAUNDRY, NO MAIL SERVICES. Gotta wait to be on the parking list if you have a car. Can leave at 4 am and you can stay all day. Three major bus stops and Intl District/Chinatown station and Stadium station for light rail are both super close and walking distance. For the most part unless they spring those surprise cleaning and booth inspections on you they leave you alone. A couple of super fine female employees lol... Long term free housing option....
Read moreThank God for the Salvation Army center. I got my referral here from the Jefferson day center downtown. It is truly a blessing to have a framed bed to sleep in and not have to sleep outside on concrete. My dorm has 47 cubicles curtained off in an old Tesla factory. Each has a table and chair with an iron framed twin size Army bunk. You also get to use a large plastic trunk to hold your clothes and belongings. I have my own little space for free. They even provide food 3 times per day although the portions are small. The staff are professional and I am treated well by the other residents. Read moreThis is a great hidden overnight shelter that has room for 40 men and women and people start lining up at 6:30 the doors open at 7 and close shortly after that so get there early and get in line! The entrance is on the east side at the fence the secretary guy will let you in!!
