I currently live here and I couldn't be more grateful play the opportunity to have a place to stay off the streets when I was stuck on the streets for a few years. They took me in regardless of what I look like what my background was like and where I came from. And with that said that doesn't mean just anybody is allowed to move in because they are very strict with the policy against discrimination and hate speech as well as any type of violence to or from another resident. The staff there for the most part all genuinely care and I say that based on my own personal experience dealing with them and watching them work with other residents. On top of all of this this shows that provides three meals a day that are better than you would expect and they have case managers who will work with you on a one-on-one basis to help you meet your goals and get towards housing completing School finding employment etc. they have also recently opened up their own treatment program which is an outpatient programs that is run on site for current residents struggling with addiction and looking to get clean and or sober. I don't feel like this is just a place that has a bed in the shower. I feel like I actually belong there and for right now this is my home it's the first time I felt like I had a home that I belonged to and look forward to going back to in longer than I can remember. The only requirement to receive all the help and benefits that they provide is to want them yourself and actively put effort into meeting your new goals and...
Read moreBetter than jail living,so I've been told. Close to it with the lights out at 10pm and curfew at 11pm. Food is bad and makes people sick. The place smells like unwashed feet and with no real air conditioner or circulation in the main dorm of a 127 men, sleeping in bunk beds is not fun. Toilets are a disaster along with urinals overflowing. You would think that this place is ran as a non for profit and is given food by donations and by the state.2.any one that works and receive a pay check once or twice a month, hast to pay a program fee of 30% of what you make. If you have bills, or in collections, child support.they don't care about that, they want your money. Not because they want you to be drug and alcohol free,no there are men that are on Meth and weed and drunk to falling over here all the time. Medic 1 is here 2 to 3 times a week for O Ds and falls do to Meth and drunks. The fights here are really bad also. The fact that you can get robbed by the ones you live with and the ones provide the place you live in. Stay out of here, STAY AS FARE AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM HERE. IF ANY ONE TELLS YOU THIS IS A GOOD PLACE FOR YOU, RUN. DO NOT COME HERE AT ALL. YOU WILL TRULY THANK YOURSELF IN THE END BY NOT STAYING HERE.Don't get...
Read moreTerrible. Had hundreds of dollars in Bluetooth speakess, phones and assorted other valuable items stolen from me while I was in the VTP section of William Booth. Also the place is great for aquiring Bird Flue and other fun viruses. Bathrooms are disgusting as are living quarters for rent paying residents. The case management is a joke 😂 and if you are attacked by another resident and you decide to report to staff make sure that you aren't white. Also be certain that you have your wallet on you at the time because it will be emptied of the entire cash contents that you did have. Also expect to be thrown out of William Booth after you get victimized by the attacker who will have no problems remaining as a resident after he robbed you and attacked you. Meanwhile you are now back on the street after paying them five months rent on time every month . SMH....loserville USA....
