This place used to be amazing. Key words:USED TO BE. I don't know what happened. The sandwiches went from super delicious to super trash and sloppily prepared. The customer service has also taken a big decline. The fact that I had to take strands of hair out of my sandwich is INSANEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! It's sad to see this place going downhill. I didn't mind paying for these overpriced sandwiches because the quality was A1....but to sell overpriced sandwiches with hair in it is DIABOLICAL. I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN

I love these folks. Their sandwiches are great! Just a comment for Morgan, I not only recommend driving there but I drove across Seattle to get the Urban Cowboy on sourdough today. I was served promptly today as well as the previous 100 or so sandwiches I have eaten there. Well worth the 15 minute drive. I found them working a job on Dexter a few years ago. I wish I lived closer. Ron

I almost don’t want to review it so there isn’t a wait but the sandwiches are just so good. Thank god my apartment is a few blocks away and I can get the delicious turkey bacon ranch whenever I need it. Like I have no idea how it’s so good. Bread is delicious when toasted and with the cheese it’s just to die for highly recommend this neighborhood gem.

My previous review with this place was 5 stars, then the amazing owners sold the place a couple months ago and it went down hill fast. The shelves go bare for weeks and limited restocking and when they do it's not necessarily with the same product as before, especially bottled carbonated drinks but other items as well).

There's a newer young lady (who started right after the new owners took over) who works the register who at first seems really nice but she lied to me when I asked about why the shelves weren't being restocked and she told me they were restocked the day before but they had a rush and everything was wiped out again in a days time (which made me laugh cuz it was Wednesday and I come in sometimes 2-3 times a day and I knew she was lying) and she has messed up my called in sandwich orders the last 3 times now and the minute you question her, like I did today, she launches into irrational anger and refunded my sandwich order and while bullying me accused me of bullying her. It was so so weird.

Was given the new owner's (was told his name is Mr. Kim) cell number, I called, he did not pick up so I left a msg and he never returned my call because, I have guess, he doesn't care.

I just spoke with someone who's lived a block away from this place for over 40 years and they too have decided to never go there again due to the dramatic drop in the quality of the sandwiches as well as the poor service and such...

The staff that works evenings is excellent btw, one of them carried over from the previous owners and he's good.

Probably shouldn't admit this but my partner and I would easily spend $100-150/week at this store, sometimes more, but no more.

PS, don’t trust any of the newer reviews that say the owner is great and the sandwiches delicious cuz the owner is NEVER there and scroll down the reviews to the recent ones and you’ll see that the sandwiches ares no longer great like they use to be.

My previous review here:

Ones of the things you'll note from this prior review is that the shelves were well stocked before as well as a "pile" protein, especially tuna salad. But not the case anymore...

Love this place, I moved nearby a year ago and come here all the time (usually daily) for the various items, it's a well stocked mini market. And the sandwiches are excellent, for example most sandwich places give you all bread and very little protein, but Lyons gives you a pile of protein (i have to be carful when I eat the tuna salad sandwich cuz chunks will fall out of the sandwich if I'm not careful, it's wonderful) and their breakfast sandwiches are to...

My previous review with this place was 5 stars, then the amazing owners sold the place last summer and it went down hill fast. The shelves go bare for weeks and limited restocking and when they do it's not necessarily with the same product as before, especially bottled carbonated drinks but other items as well). Their sandwiches were amazing before, piled with protein and absolutely delicious…now, if you’re desperate, they’re adequate at best with not even half the protein they use to have. Before they had a few staff members that were there for a long time but now a rotating door of here today gone tomorrow employees and no one remembers you and we all know high turn over means bad management. Speaking of owners, don’t believe the review recently that says the owners are great as they are literally never there lol the review also made reference to great sandwiches or something, also untrue, I’m guessing it’s a relative or friend of the new owners as the ratings for this place have already dropped from 4.9 to 4.5 stars and the only reason it’s still that high is cuz the overwhelming reviews for this place are from before it was sold to this new company.

Additionally, we have a friend and neighbor that has gone to this place for over 40 years, but they too no longer go for the exact same reasons I mention here.

Probably shouldn't admit this but my partner and I use to spend $100-150/week at this store, sometimes more, but no more.

So this is a second review. I have given this place 5 stars a couple of times over the past 7-8 years. But a few months ago the previous sandwhich god sold and retired to new ownership. At first the sandwiches were the same… for the most part. But as I got my sandwich as normal and took it home to eat I realized it was half as big as it used to be, smaller slices of bread not thick crunchy wheat bread like normal. Half as much meat and they forgot my bacon which has never happened before. The new owners push so hard to get a review of 5 stars but they have already changed this place for the worst it is no longer the filling meal but a regular sized sandwich Might as well make your stuff at home now. Alas the magic sandwich shop I was shown is gone. I’ll still come here but I definitely won’t go out of my way like I used to for a mediocre expensive sandwhich. I’ll be back for them to Change my opinion but unless they make some big changes they are losing there lyons...
