So, I recently learned my go-to guy for consistently great haircuts no longer worked at the barbershop I’d been using for the past several years and I was dreading the laborious process of trying to find a new go-to person.

You know the experience I’m talking about, right? The months long saga full of subpar service, disappointing haircuts and lackluster conversations, until eventually you stumble upon someone new that you can trust with your hair.

Rock Steady was the first place I tried. Yeah, I did some research, but I never expected I’d be so lucky as to find some like Alicia on my first attempt.

I’m widely impressed with the professional service and genuine attention to detail she offered. Moreover, the conversation we shared was truly enlightening.

If you are looking for someone new you can trust with your hair and you appreciate making a human connection, Alicia at Rock Steady is the person for you. I can’t recommend her enough.

Great hair cut every time! I’ve been traveling across town for the past year and a half (even during the viadoom traffic!) to get my haircut by Alicia because every single time i’m guaranteed to get a great haircut. I’ve tried barbershops like Rudys as well as a number of higher end shops over the years but never get the same quality of hair cut. She listens to what you want, and even though she remembers your haircut from last time, she still checks in to see if you want the same style for this time around. Alicia also has a great personality and is fun to talk with. She has a nice shop set up in Ballard with Free parking and I can set my appointments online, no phone calls required. I have referred friends and family to her and they’ve all loved their haircuts. Can’t recommend...

Rock Steady is a very nice and welcoming hair studio perfectly placed off the main hustle and bustle of Ballard. All of the stylist in there were very friendly and overall was a good vibe. Parking can be a bit difficult but there is a paid lot across the street for $6/hr $9/2hr if you can’t find street parking. Paloma Alicia is an exceptional hair stylist. I’ve been getting my hair cut by her for about 2 years now and my biggest criteria when looking for a good stylist is consistency. With Paloma, I know I can just walk in, sit down, and have no worries that I’m going to get the cut and style that I want. When she spins the chair around for me to see the final result in the mirror I don’t even have to look because I know it’s perfect. That kind of consistency is priceless. 10/10...
