AVOID AT ALL COSTS: I tried to call first but there was no answer, then I saw that I could make an appointment online really quick so I did. Right after, I got a call from them and I explained that I'd made an appointment online and the lady just said 'whatever' then hung up.
I went to the appointment and asked for the hour long body massage with a 30 minute foot massage. I was laying down by 6:10pm and just laid there for another 10-15 minutes while my masseuse chatted outside with a man. The massage was okay, it was uneven and the lady told me I was beautiful, which felt strange. During the massage she randomly pulled down my underwear and it really freaked me out. I kept thinking I was going to be trafficked or assaulted. She also kept leaving during the massage - about 5 times and would be chatting for about 5 minutes each time with another girl in the front office.
The massage ended at 7:05pm, so I definitely didn't get the foot massage and the body massage wasn't an hour. It was maybe 30 minutes.
I said I'd pay for the hour ($60) and she took my card and asked how much for the tip. I said $5 and she got really mad and pointed to a sign multiple times that said they appreciate 30%+ for tips and I said no, just $5. She showed me a book of other tips where people had left $20 and I said no. She slammed the receipt down and I wrote in $5 and the total and she said 'how about $15?' I said no again and she just walked out and went in the back, leaving me alone in the front.
I wish I hadn't paid at all becausei was definitely scammed out of half of my massage. Totally uncomfortable and weird. I also read other reviews on here and only within the past few days people were saying they were made to pay before the massage and getting replies that that's the policy, but that's obviously not true if I didn't have to pay until after. I also went to the restroom and it was very dirty. Hopefully they clean the actual...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI also hate to negatively review a small, local business but I feel more compelled to warn our neighbors.
This was the worst massage experience I have ever had. I should have followed my gut and left but the twinge in my lower back urged me to stay.
The place smells like a litter box. It is not very clean. Check out the bathroom to see what I mean. It was very clear when my bare feet were on the carpet when I went to get dressed. So gross.
Okay, no music but it came on when I was leaving. This means I could hear every breathe my unmasked masseuse exhaled over me (I did not realize she was unmasked while I was face down).
My masseuse was unfocused and it was as if she had ADHD.
She was all over the board. She was rubbing my neck and then my right leg back to me neck, my left arm (but never my left leg. That somehow got completely ignored) and back to the neck and shoulder but never my lower back.
It was not calm, it was not relaxing. It was disjointed, disconnected, unfocused, amateurish. She yelled through the door in Mandarin over the top of me to someone out front. Super aggravating. My door was opened 3 times while I was unclothed so that also was deeply disturbing.
The language barrier was more than problematic and I do not appreciate having to pay in advance. My one hour massage was 53 minutes and that includes the 4 times she stepped out of the room for more than 6 minutes so that means 47 minutes for a prepaid hour.
Like the other reviewer stated, I almost got up and left...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExcellent massage. One of the deepest Iāve had. I run or swim almost daily and came in very sore and my body feels so much better. Lisa was very friendly and very talented massage therapist. I got a 60 minute massage and 30 minute foot rub. I asked for harder pressure and she gave a me a thorough sports massage, not slow and relaxing like a spa massage but more therapeutic and deliberate, getting into joints and tendons using a variety of techniques, many I havenāt experienced anywhere else. She works very fast and did 90 minutes worth of massage in that 60 minutes. The hot stone massage was incredible. She also did percussion massaging, stretching, some more Thai massage kind of techniques, walking on the back, craniosacral, lots of deep tissue work with her elbows and forearms. The foot massage was excellent. Lisa checked in many times to make sure the pressure was ok. Donāt believe the bad reviews. There are cultural differences and some language barriers and they may not have quite the same procedures and business standards as a spa, but honestly I kind of found some of the things other people might complain about to be endearing and part of the experience. Itās clean, itās professional, itās not shady at all. The issues were minor and not worth mentioning, I will come back and it was overall a very positive experience and worth the money....
