Gyro on lake city — Restaurant in Seattle

This used to be Lake City Gyro and words could not describe how happy I was to find out they re-opened under a new name and shop. I legit pulled over later to get dinner there I was that excited. It's a little hole in the wall with authentic Greek food. You wouldn't expect it from the interior but their food is delicious. Having been to Greece, it tastes like I'm there with how spot on it is. Don't let the inside deceive you, I promise their food will make you want to come back for more. Lake City generally doesn't have the best restaurant options but this is one of our favorites! I try to go once a week and always get their house combo. I strongly suggest giving it a chance and you'll be decently surprised. Believe me when they closed Lake City Gyro, I went everywhere in Lake City and Northgate to find a replacement and nothing compared.

Original review: They have the best gyros in town. (Note that they have moved two doors up the street from their previous location.) They also have falafel, baklava, and kafta. Occasionally they have koshari, which is sort of like macaroni and cheese only with more flavor and much better. You can get french fries if you want. (In the Mediterranean they seem to put french fries on everything, even the hamburgers. Not with or beside the hamburgers, but ON the hamburgers.) i've never had the french fries here, but they are probably also very good. Oh, and the man who runs it is very nice and friendly. I ordered the Lamb Shawarma dinner and Baba Ganoush on the side to go. Good thing I ordered garlic extra garlic sauce because it does not automatically come with the meal. Yogurt only. Very small servings. Including the rice. I think I accidently got beef instead of lamb. It happens. It was a bit tough though. The $5 Baba Ganoush was not quite an inch worth in the to-go container.
