We were desperate for breakfast and this was nearby, so we tried it for the first time. Oh my goodness. First impressions were whimsical and nostalgic, but there's not too much space and it's quite cluttered with stuff and things. Oh so many things. Then, when you look closer, you can peer into the lives of the people that own the Breakfast Club, and you might not like what you see. What caught me off-guard was the full-size Thin Blue Stripe flag hanging proudly on display near the back. And what's in the back, why tons of food storage and Freezers. Mixed in with more nick-nacks and decorations - as if it was part of the dining area. Food was standard for this type of gig, but some of it felt kinda sad. They have a large, open kitchen, but from where I was sitting there was a microwave next to my head; And they didn't seem ashamed to use it liberally. This type of place attracts a certain type of crowd, take that as you wish.

I had never heard of this place until my friend took me to brunch there. Even walking in (we went in the back) it feels like walking in to someone's home, that is a hoarder 🤣🤣 but that is the charm of it! I kept looking around for whatever neat stuff I hadn't noticed before. Such a unique spot. Service was friendly and did a great job The food was on point! I got the country Benedict and good lord that gravy is amazing. Will absolutely return! So glad my friend told me you existed

Karen was a true Karen. The not so snide comment about the tip that was left was very low and unprofessional. Should’ve asked for the tip back at that point. If negative stars was a choice that’s where we’d be right now. Food was average at best. Potatoes were not cooked all the way. Coffee was watery and tasted like dirt. The environment is very cluttered. And the over heard phone call about drunk employees really topped off the whole experience. 10/10 will not be back.

Delicious ɓreakfasts expertly seasoned during all open hours. I've had & completely enjoyed: Fresh potato hash browns. A generous slab of French toast with fresh blueberries. 2 eggs scrambled or over easy. Sausage is mild; l tried my friend's. My rye toast was real actual bakery type rye, not brown caramel colored wheat bread passing as rye; buttered; I sprinkled very light cane sugar; various Smucker's jellies were available. Seating is mostly 2 to a table, with about half a open indoor tales for 4 - 6. Comfortable pull out chairs, ŕeminds me of kitchen chairs. Comfotabke & nice to sit and relax in for a meal & relax over coffee that is made èxactly right and freshly. These veggie omelettes with hollandaise are my favorites: Veggie with seasonal fillong like broccoli, mushrooms, Walla Walla type sweet onions and the Frisco a protein boost with bacon that tastes like no nitrates, mozarella that is like cousins make for each other, avocado. Children happily come with parents, neighbors & strangers all made to feel at ease and at home, welcome. The Breakfast Club is about 25 - 30 seats indoors, 10 to 15 òut street front on the Lake City Way patio under shaded cooling green Norway maple trers in summer; interesting fire trucks, cement mixers for me, people watching trees & skies on the horizon. Decor takes time to explore, which suits my curiosity and exploration. I feel very comfortable eating here alone. Very happy to bring any chosen fellow eater(s). Breakfasts are served when open. 6AM-2PM M-F, 7AM-2PM Sat & SUN. In back is parking. We use that street to walk over. The Lake City urban village The Breakfast Club rests in is our most north-east Seattle neighborhood; still relatively quiet, a bit more rural, nicely treed with twinkle lights up in the dark half of the year. Davis Park is 1 block Noth, 1 west; Will Roger's played polo there in 1935; nice after eating walk past tiny local shops to get there. I always feel good while I eat here, and better the rest of the day for having been. I feel welcomed as a human, fed expertly prepared carefully selected fresh local food. Portions are generous. Half goes home with me in a container brought to me before I exit on days when I have quite a bit left on my plate. Sandwiches are only available M-F. Corned beef, Rueben is great. Hash browns, real potatoes cut up, not tater-tots, were involved... Breakfast during all open hours. I greatly recommend The...

I generally wont leave a poor review, especially after only one visit. But.

Very unusual experience, for me, at a breakfast joint. In fact, I have had worse experiences & food than here. I did not expect this to be the case since I heard good things. I can't trust that person's opinion now.

It's very dark inside. I thought it was closed. There's no background music, leaving patrons to hear kitchen/server banter and other patrons' conversations.

It was clean. Service was fine for how (surprisingly) busy it was. Probably because both nearby Patty's went bye bye.

Food. First of all, home fries are not hashbrowns. These were barely fried and over al dente. Boring pale taters..sad. Eggs, underdone over-medium, three mediums, grade AA. I get it. I've been a short order breakfast cook and medium eggs.... are a thing. CFS. No. A very good reminder of the breaded veal cutlet served in DFACs across the globe in the 90s. Soggy. Country Gravy? Thin and salty, garnished with sliced links and diced lunch meat ham. C'mon! I've experienced this also in the mess hall. Toast? SMH.

Coffee was what you'd expect.

I'm sorry, I cannot return when it's a mess hall cook...

WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE GO HERE. Disgusting decorations...creepy pictures of kids coat the wall...absolutely felt a racist vibe which was kinda confirmed when I asked for more coffee and the lady had an attitude...she didn't even ask the person I was with if they wanted something to drink after he declined coffee and he's white so maybe horrible customer service is the norm...then to top it off the food was DISGUSTING...I ordered pancake sandwich, but when it came out it was all separated, no sandwich in sight and the proportions were ridiculous...two big nasty ass pancakes, two little microwaved undercooked sausage links, two eggs cooked how I requested, and a side of "hashbrowns" which were actually country style potatoes that were probably cooked the prior day and sitting in a pan in the back...the only thing that seemed fresh and warm was the eggs and coffee, even pancakes seemed precooked. Lady seemed surprised when we barely ate the food and didnt want a box. Wish i could give 0 stars. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND...
