Dear Walgreens Customer Service,
I'm writing to formally report a deeply troubling experience at your Sedro-Woolley, WA pharmacy. The level of service I received was not only shockingly unprofessional, but it also jeopardized timely access to necessary medication for a foster child in my care.
I spoke multiple times (over the course of a week) with a male pharmacy employee who had a South Asian accent. He repeatedly told me that he contacted two separate CVS pharmacies to initiate a medication transfer. That was a lie. I personally followed up with both CVS locations he claimed to have called, neither had been contacted by Walgreens.
This individual either lacked the competence to perform a basic task or willfully chose not to follow through. When I called again the next day after driving 30 minutes to the Walgreens, he made it clear he was overwhelmed by the Rite Aid transition and simply did not prioritize this medication transfer. His inaction caused unnecessary delay and stress, and had I not stepped in and handled it myself, getting it resolved within minutes through the Bellingham Walgreens, this child would have gone without her medication.
To be clear: medication delays, especially for children, are not minor inconveniences. They are dangerous. And staff who are too disorganized, overwhelmed, or unwilling to do their jobs with basic honesty and care should not be working in a pharmacy setting.
I am asking for:
A formal review of this employee’s actions and record.
A response from store or district management on how this will be addressed.
Assurance that proper training, staffing, and accountability measures are being implemented, especially during your current transitions.
This experience was unacceptable. Walgreens has a responsibility to provide accurate, timely, and ethical service, especially when it concerns a child’s health. I expect a response.
Sincerely, Kristin Paxton Deeply...
Read moreI am a chronic, acute pain sufferer. I’ve had a few back surgeries and am about to go through scoliosis surgery at an old age to try and alleviate some of this pain. I am “prescribed” monthly pain medication, which I do not abuse and usually have leftovers when it’s time to pick up the next Rx. What I have always really loved about this location, was no judgment. I transferred to this store, from another Walgreens where there was one bad seed that gave me a bad time every single time I went to pick up my medications. It was soo nice not to have anxiety anymore, just to go to the pharmacy. Until today. There is a guy there, that was really rude, he was obnoxious, giving me a really hard time, the run around. Calling it, “your medications” sir, i don’t know which medications you’re referring to? I’m only asking about one. I hung up in tears. Here we go. CVS is known for this. I always comment how lucky I am, because my Walgreens never treats me like this! UNTIL TODAY. 3 stars, because no one else there has ever treated me this way! They’re all very nice! Above and beyond, but if you’re a pain patient, beware of male employee. He says, very cocky “You have a blessed day!”
It’s not our fault...
Read moreGreat employees, terrible management of corporation. I purchased an item marked as 19.99 with a discount price of 14.49. I assumed signing up (which I didn't want to do) would get me the lower price so I reluctantly signed up. I did not get the lower price. I asked the cashier why I did not get the lower price and she said I needed a coupon. She said the "coupons" were only available online and not available anywhere in the store. I said I do not have a PC or a printer on my person. She asked if I had a smart phone. I reluctantly said I did have one and she said I needed to download an "app" to get the coupon. I said I did not want to download any apps. She did it for me on her phone. I will never shop at a Walgreens again. Too much of a hassle. I see no future for Walgreens and expect them to go out of business. They make shopping there too much of a hassle. If I do or do not have a smartphone is none of their business and it shouldn't be required to make a purchase. I also see they are closing stores in CA because they cowardly allow...
