My husband ran in, heading back home for bread. Only because we'd miss Albert's in Concrete. I refuse to shop at this store for several yrs. As an Elder of my tribe I got food vouchers monthly. I can choose from several stores. So, for distance & prices considered, I 1st tried FP in Arlington but stopped shopping there for same reason... I then tried this store. First time using my voucher they were polite. The next month the clerk wasn't rude but wasn't happy about dealing with my voucher. The 3rd month was awful. The clerk was openly hostile, dramatically acting like the voucher wasn't valid at that store trying to tell me tje ownership is different then other FP's. I kept saying I had already used them the last two months. But she wouldn't stop explaining why it wasn't valid. Remarking that I couldn't write just any store on it. So, I keep saying there is a 3 ring binder under the counter or the other that has this Organization -STOWW in one section with instructions & a place to put receipts & all. I have my ID & followed the boundaries of the lists items allowed. I used a calculator to ensure it is as near the voucher amount as possible. I purchased quantity items with economy in mind but making as few items as possible for the clerk's convience(potatoes, 4 same bread, 2 pks. frozen meat, 2 gallons milk). I even line them up so, one bread x4 & 1 milk ×2 so clerk only has to handle 4 items instead of 9. Then someone is called who will explain my error.... Not a manager but another clerk comes up front, looks at my voucher, walks to the next counter & pulls out a 3 ring binder & flips to the section labeled STOWW & says follow this & be sure to attach the receipt to the voucher. Every person waiting in line, coming & going has been obviously watching. I wait till all paperwork is processed & my groceries in cart to say.... So, is your attitude due my poverty or that I receive support from my tribal services, maybe just being Native American or all those things. She tried I didn't know we did vouchers. But I responded- So, how many needy people did you turn away the way you tried to do with me? She said Oh No one else. Me- So, I am the ONLY One? So, your behavior was personally directed at me as an individual? She mumbled & obviously was getting angry when a Manager came fr behind a locked door. But I continued with... I Will Never Shop Here Again. If I should regaun financial stability I will never spend a dollar here ever again. I will let other folks that there is no respect for the poor or needy here. The mananger followed me out to my car claiming I acted in appropriately by not making a formal complaint with her. I stopped trying to explain & remarked how amazing it was that Upper Skagit Reservation is closer then my Rez & it seems like they should appreciate doing business in Indian Country. But maybe that is why I never run into any Native Americans at this store. The manager still yapping about how I should have handled it & not one word of apology or we'll speak to that employee. That isn't my first experience like that. Several Safeways... downtoen Pirt Angeles, Aberdeen & Seattle's University Village stores are as memorial. I never get angry or raise my voice. I always explaim about how it's done, how there are instructions etc. Because the best way to handle such things is my own personal boycott that I find gratifying on it's own. That was in 2011. My Husband made Peace with me buying only a single loaf of bread & using...
Read moreWe are new to town and have been here a few times now. We have had a good experience every time, the only thing I wish is that they had organic produce but they have everything else, many vegan options throughout the different categories. The cashiers have been very nice. The store is clean and pretty well organized. They have a decent selection of prepared foods, and seem to work hard at keeping everything stocked.

I saw a very ridiculous TikTok video that resulted in a lot of people who have never even been to this store coming on here and giving them negative reviews. I am someone who always tries to standup for the marginalized. That being said, what the woman in the video claimed was a racist event definitely was not.
She said there were two men who were being rude and impatient behind her so she turned around and screamed “shut the ** up at them”. Surprise surprise that really upset them and others around, I mean who does that?! Very not ok behavior in public much less anywhere. Of course they were going to get upset at her, they would’ve got upset at me too as a white lady.
I saw plenty of people of color in the store and they didn’t scream at anyone and seemed to be treated just like us, I just hate when someone cries wolf and acts like a victim when they started the nasty behavior.
Yes those men were being rude and impatient but screaming AND cursing someone out is the problem behavior and of course the manager will ask you to leave if you don’t stop… good grief.
I tried to tell her this and she just called me something rude/told me to shut up also and blocked me on there.
I figured I’d let anyone else know who...
Read moreFebruary 6th, at 6pm Sedro-Woolley. I was checking out and the price that rng up was different than the price on the product. I was told by the clek that the price adjustment would occur at the end of the transaction. I Didn't realize it until I got to back to my car that the price was incorrect. I then went back in order to and get it taken care and I was treated very rudely. I had to go to 3 different tellers for help because each one said they couldn't help me. The whole experience was terrible and it was not returned. I had to go get the item and bring it back into the store. I was told it was a meat dept error and that I could not be given a refund even though the price was not correct. I just want you to know that. I was told by staff there that, "I needed to learn how to read", And "I should look at the ounces before assuming that is the price". I just want you to know that you have clerks that are treating people very poorly. It will be a while before I would ever consider shopping...
