Walgreens — Local services in Shawnee

I had surgery on the 26th of January 2021. Ky doctors office sent in a perscription for pain meds on January 25, 2021 ro be ready by January 26th. After the surgery my husband and i went to Walgreens to pick up the perscriptions the doctor ordered. They gave us several bottles and we went home only to find out they did not fill the pain med as ordered. I called my doctor office, they called and said it would be ready by the 27 and my husband could pick it up. But when he arrived they said he needed my id, his would not be accepted so here it is the 29th of January and I am at Walgreens because they still do not gave the perscription ready. I am done with Walgreens. I will NEVER use them again. If this is the type of service they give to their customers it is no wonder they are having to close stores. My company uses Prime therapeutics as our perscription service, but Walgreens which owns Prime Therapeutics does not honor our insurance. Go...

NEGATIVE STARS: I used to like using this Walgreens Pharmacy until they changed their hours.

Then they changed their hours again.

Then one day they had new hours on the specified day that I was able to have a family member go and get my prescription as I didn't get off in time to get it myself as I work in the city.

Another day (a month later) I had to ask my daughter go to get my prescription (WHILE I WAS AT WORK) and that day my prescription was put in the wrong bin but eventually it was found. I have now changed where I get my prescriptions due to these issues. Aside from this, every one was very nice.

I would advise not getting your prescriptions at this location unless you are a stay at home mother, retired or work nearby. I believe they are currently not even open on Saturdays. If I am wrong please let me know as I would appreciate not having to drive further out of my way to get my prescriptions....

I have been calling different Walgreens stores for two days, trying to get a refill. I have been on hold for long durations with stores in Oklahoma City and Edmond, but calling this Shawnee store today I was on hold for over 28 minutes. In the final 3 minutes the redundant message and music stopped and the line started ringing. I let it ring of course, until eventually they picked up the handset and put it back down, ending my call. I guess I don't need the medication that bad. I will tell my doctor and insurance to stop using Walgreens or stop prescribing...
