I had a technician come out to hook up my cable yesterday he was actually here a little early which I was happy about he got out of his old Ford Ranger truck we went upstairs with the equipment he was checking my output on the wall and he said his thing came up saying it wasn't hooked up or no wires back there we called the landlady she told us that there was a box somewhere in the house that had all the wires to it we looked all over the house in all the closets couldn't find it so the landlady said if he could come back tomorrow he could have the maintenance guy meet him out here so I told him we could reschedule for tomorrow but then he kept asking me if I just want to put it down as a drop off so I finally agreed with him and he said when the maintenance guy got here he could walk me through setting it up well after he left I found the box I called him and he said he was about to lose signal so to send him a picture of the box so I sent him a picture it took him a long time to text back which I'm sure that had something to do with his next job he finally text back he said all the wires are there he asked me to go unscrew the Ajax Outlet and see if there was a wire back there so I unscrewed it there was a wire back there I sent him a picture so then he replied back well there's a wire back there you must have to go down to the basement and mess with something that the landlady said that might be down there so I was laying around and I decided to call vyve back they put a technician on and he said that he would have someone else come out the next day so today Danielle showed up early which I was very happy about I showed him the Box and show them where it was at and he had no problem on hooking it up Daniel was a very polite guy and got his job done quickly irate Daniel a five-star rating the other dude was a little bit on the heavier side not fat he looks like he was about 18 or 19 years old he kind of acted like he didn't know what to do besides plugged...
Read moreAbsolute WORST Customer Service I have ever received from a company. With their complete lack of customer care I have know idea how they remain in business. Have being using this cable company for 12 years, once owned by Allegiance Communications. Recently I decided I would stay with my local cable company, Vyve Broadband for not only my cable needs but wanted to spend more money with the company and have Internet and another cable line installed in my home. Made appointment for installation.....after taking day off work and waiting almost all day for technician to arrive I called only to be told the technician was in a car accident. Understandably I rescheduled for yet another appointment the following week. Vyve promised there would be no activation fee for the inconvenience. 2nd appointment and taking yet ANOTHER day off of work I called the day of the appointment and was promised the technician would be at my home by 1pm. When 1pm came and went with no sign of the technician, I called Vyve. They DID NOT call me, I called them and was told 1st the technicians had a LATE NIGHT the night before and could not make it to my house....I asked to speak to someone else where I was told the technician was INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT......I believed this story the 1st time but not 2 weeks in a row....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????? I was then transferred to yet ANOTHER customer rep who apologized for the inconvenience and PROMISED a tech would be at my house THAT DAY...may be late but he would BE THERE. At 9pm I finally conceded to the fact that the technician was not going to show! I am completely in shock. I have no idea how they get away with treating their customers with such little respect. All I wanted to do was spend MORE MONEY with this company....absolutely absurd. I am now searching other avenues for my cable and internet needs. I will gladly spend my hard earned money with a company that WANTS...
Read moreTerrible service. The month of January I was out of service for 14 days. Of the many calls with tech support, I mentioned I wanted my bill pro-rated to reflect actual service recieved, and I was assured it would be because they are terribly sorry for the inconveniences. January bill arrived at the full rate. So I was lied to.
I called Vyve immediately and was demanded half off my bill, because I only received half a month of service. The service representative was very sorry but told me the maximum discount I would receive is $30, he wasn't allowed to do any more. My response was then cancel the service and send it to collections, because I am only paying for what I received.
We had this exchange 3 times, then he decided to give me a $40 credit, slightly more than half, and was there anything else he could assist with. So I was lied to again, regarding the discount available.
The location in Oklahoma, is a bad joke. Fiber lines are strung along my back fence, kids, pets and lawn mowers can easily damage them. At the top of the block, one fiber cable is just laid across the street, 2 road cones secure it. We all drive over it every day. I've requested a bury order and informed Vyve about the exposed lines and the one across the road.
If you are forced to use this ISP, expected outages every month, often days at a time. I run my own equipment, and as a IT professional it's all on battery backup, expertly configured and I don't have equipment failures. My ISP does, and any 9 year old with dad's pliers could cut the exposed fiber lines. Or a pet can chew them, and one gets run over by the entire block every day.
That's the service you can expect. I'm considering switching to AT&T DSL, over fiber optic, because it will be more reliable! That's...
