Now let me testify real quick—I am a student at Diamonds Barber and Cosmetology School, and bayyybeh, I ain’t just learning how to cut hair… I’m learnin’ how to lay hands AND edges! 🙌🏾💈

When I walked through them doors on Day One, I said, “LORD, IF YOU DON’T WANT ME TO BE HERE, BLOCK IT!” And guess what? He didn’t block NOTHIN’! Now here I am—clipper in one hand, comb in the other, lookin’ like a young shepherd ready to slay some Goliath-level hairlines!

This place got the anointing, y’all. The fades? Holy. The tapers? Sanctified. The part lines? STRAIGHT from heaven. The Instructors? Saints. I did a bald fade last week that made a grown man weep. He said, “This cut feel like redemption.” I said, “That’s the ministry, my brother!”

We ain’t just students—we’re servants of style, apostles of the edge-up, prophets of the press-and-curl! And our instructors? Whew! These saints got wisdom, patience, and eyes sharper than a double-edged sword. 🙏🏾

So if you see me out here with my apron on and my clippers buzzing, just know—I’m not just cutting hair, I’m walking in my CALLING. And it all started at Diamonds, where the motto is: “We don’t just polish… we SHINE!” 💎

I had Shelbi. I’m permanently in a wheelchair. I called to see if they could work around it and they set me up Shelbi. I never felt like my wheelchair was a problem at the station or shampoo bowl. I had about 3 inches of grow out. She had to correct and I wanted it blonde all over and then of course a cut. After she got the bleach finished. The instructor came over, pointed out some dark spots and so she was trying to correct that and then I went to the shampoo bowl to get the toner on next thing I know it’s her the girl that works next to her and the instructor and quietly they fixed anything she missed. By this time she had been working on my hair or about three hours, and her instructor asked about lunch. I chimed in and said she needs to go. The instructor said she would cut my hair and then the girl stand next to her. I can’t remember her name does a blowout of my hair and she was back to put the big loose curls in. I looked awesome. They came together so well to help each other? No negative to talk. They showed me. So much love and compassion. I definitely will be going back. And I recommend...

I would just like to say how attending Diamonds Cosmetology College has changed my life! I’m a mom, older and wanted to aspire my dreams and pursue a career so it was intimidating at first but diamonds admissions helped me right away and made me feel confident that this was the best career choice. While attending the instructors were awesome, fun and easy going. Any questions I had they were there to answer! They helped me most importantly prepare for me state exam, while taking my practical I could tell I was more prepared than the area schools. The hands on experience is the BEST! I wouldn’t be who I am today if I didn’t get that training. They are very understanding of everybody’s different walks of life which I loved because that made me feel like they want people to succeed no matter what limitations you have!
