I called this store at 20 min till closing and asked what time they stop seating , the very sweet and polite young woman who answered the phone replied that the kitchen was going to be starting their break down in 10 mins. I replied with I am 15 minutes away but that I am meeting some family but I haven't seen in some time there and would really like the opportunity to meet them and have dinner she replied with hold on returned quickly and said no problem come on after getting there I'm spoke to the manager and told him that I was really there to meet the mother of my granddaughter whois at the end of her pregnancy and is having problems with my son and has a new boyfriend and that we are trying to work through this pregnancy and repair our relationships so the girl who's pregnant with my granddaughter her mother and new boyfriend were late manager was very polite while following every strict security protocol allowed us to wait inside the store at the very last moment probably about 5 or 10 minutes after close they showed by this time all six of us already had our plates on the table bread salad and the host of the closing waiters or waitresses waiting almost hand and foot gave us everything we needed extremely understanding probably the most polite people I've encountered in a long time having worked at an Italian restaurant as a sous chef myself I understood the imposition that my party of 6 was putting on them.. one they allowed us to sit argue and bicker yell and scream and finally mend some fences and make peace and come to agreements with our new family members they were very instrumental and helping me repair some relationships with my new family members and the mother of my granddaughter and my son I cannot tell these people how grateful I am that they were there for my family and i when we needed them the most they went so far above and beyond what is expected of any person to say the least of a restaurant crew at the close of their business day on a Sunday evening they put their needs aside and allow my family the time the space and the privacy to work out our personal issues. on their time and we're so nice and polite and truly made me believe that they were really happy to have the opportunity to serve us again thank you guys so much I wish there was much more I could do but if you have a chance to visit this location please do employees here truly are and truly do treat you like family and the to the closing manager i wish i could give you another hug thanks again for that wonderful experience that enanbled me to get that much closer to my very first grand daughter , and making a memory and a story that will be told for years to come in my ever expand family from our family to yours and from the bottom of my heart thank you...
Read moreIf I could give this particular location zero stars I would! I am an olive garden fan and have eaten at this restaurant hundreds of times, so I know what meals they have, the sizes, prices etc. My husband and I, decided to eat dinner one night at the Sherman location. I ordered my usual which is fettuccini alfredo and my husband ordered the tour of Italy which comes with some fettuccini on it as well. Anyways once our food was ready our server brought it out to us. I thought to myself wow that fettuccini plate is much smaller then the usual size! Again I've ordered the fettuccini hundreds of other times I've come to this restaurant so I know what the size normally is. The size I got was half the normal size fettuccini plate, it's like they gave me the lunch special size but charged me the full price dinner size and didn't think I would notice. I brought this up to my server and she told me that it's because the portion sized changed the ounces for pasta had been lowered, she said they also did away with the salt in the sauce since I also brought up how I thought it tasted blander then usual. She later came back to my table to bring me a saucer plate of a small handful more of fettuccini, which she said they wouldn't charge me for but it ended up on my bill. I asked to then speak to the manager and he came to my table and after I explained the situation he said well that shouldn't have been the case, as he said they actually INCREASED the portion size for the fettuccini, not decreased it. I said well the server said the reason I got this small plate of fettuccini to begin with was because they lowered the portion size. He continuously said no that it should have been increased. I had to plead my case with him and explained how if the portion size decreased (which he says should have increased) then they should have at least put it on the menu letting customers know as I felt that would be fair. And also I felt it should have been made aware that they removed all salts from the dish. Anyways it took the manager a good 5 minutes before he finally offered to remove the fettuccini off the bill for me like he was doing me some sort of favor. I was not trying to get free food by any means but if they're going to charge me full price for the full size fettuccini when I got the half size lunch plate, I shouldn't have had to pay the full price anyways. Terrible service when you feel lied to because one person tells you one thing and then another person says something different. Very disappointed in my experience with this Sherman location that we will not return and will not recommend to our...
Read moreMy granddaughter chose Olive Garden for lunch because she's never been before. Although I've frequented several different locations myself, including this one, we were both impressed with this visit. Our server's name was Jet. He was extremely professional and attentive. So often when I've went anywhere for lunch, it seems the servers/wait staff are in a hurry to get your order and you can't help but feel rushed to make your decision. Then they often seem to want you to hurry and leave. Jet was the complete opposite of those experiences. He treated myself and my granddaughter like we were his personal guests. Out of all the times I've patronized OG, I've never been asked if I wanted all the ingredients available in the salad that comes with your entree. Jet named them all. I've always thought you get what they bring you. That salad was a meal in itself and the first one I've ever had like that from OG. My granddaughter was so impressed when Jet offered to grate the cheese for our salad because she'd not experienced table side service like that. The bread sticks were so soft, warm and with just the perfect amount of butter and garlic. I wish I had taken pictures of the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer because it was pretty enough to be featured in a food magazine. (And absolutely delicious of course). After the delectable salad, our chicken Alfredo entrées were served hot and fresh. Jet made sure our drinks were kept filled and checked on us often. The entire meal was really amazing. When I was having a little trouble figuring out how to use the table payout device, Jet was very patient and helpful. Thank you Jet for making my granddaughter's first experience at The Olive Garden one she truly enjoyed and she'll (we'll)...
