My daughter had everything set weeks before her wedding for Cowboy Chicken to provide lite food at her reception. She called the store to verify her order would be taken care of. They were scheduled to deliver sandwiches, chips, and beverages at 2pm (the same time as the wedding ceremony) so everything would be ready for guests who weren't part of the wedding pictures. At around 11am ON HER WEDDING DAY, she gets a call that there was a gas leak that morning and they wouldn't be able to cater. Then in the same phone call, they tell her that they are going to try their best but it would be a little late... We finish pictures around 3:30 and still no food or phone call. I then spoke with a lady at the store who gave me excuses and either misspoke or let it slip that the gas leak was actually the night before. She also said they were loading the car as we spoke. If the gas leak was the night before, why on earth wouldn't we have been notified more than 3 hours before the delivery time?!! That was not enough time to find an alternate source for food let alone find someone to go get it if need be. My daughter was pretty upset and said to just cancel the food when 4:00 rolled around and we still didn't have our food. Her guests had been waiting too long already. The delivery person got lost. Are you kidding me?!! Who doesn't have GPS guidance? The only church in the general vicinity-the one Google took us straight to for the rehearsal the night before. Most of the food did finally show up. We were informed the delivery person didn't have all of it and she was headed back to get the rest. I assumed she was going to bring the proper drinks also. You know what happens when you assume. The sandwiches were delicious and the chips were really good. We were given a small discount but it wasn't enough. My husband was given the phone number to a higher manager as the manager we dealt with wasn't able to do any more for us. He was passed off all the way up to the owner who has yet to return any of my husbands 3 calls. I love to support local small town business but I cannot recommend Cowboy Chicken of Sherman. Perhaps the communication could have been better. Perhaps they could have gotten the food from another store and been on time. I do not support horrible...
Read moreThe location was very clean and open, awesome seeing all the chicken over the fire and on my visit the staff was attentive and very helpful even asking if this was the first time visiting and if we needed any questions answered. I'd been to locations in the metroplex so I knew what I wanted.
I contributed a photo of my girlfriends and my plate in the photos. Shortly after ordering and getting drinks the food was arriving at the table and it was nice and hot and you can taste freshness. The decorations in the location are cool and the music is not over powering where you can't hear one another at the table.
This could have been a 5 star rating but I had to deduct one because in the outside patio area I saw two employees and I guess a friend handling a puppy, yes the puppy was cute but I started to wonder if puppy hair was on those employees shirts and if those employees returned to work and failed to thoroughly wash their hands. That will be a mystery to me but I am still alive to write this review. As a side note their is a pet store across the parking lot and they were doing adoptions but Scruffy in my opinion needed to be heading home to meet his new family, not chilling on break with employees, lol.
It was good overall and I will return, great alternative to having...
Read moreWe order 1/2 chicken meal. Brisket sandwich meal. Kids Sliders. 2 enchilada meal. Spent $57.37. We asked for Bqq sauce once food arrived because only one of them had one Bqq sauce was the Bisket sandwich. Victoria was very nice the entire time. (who we ordered with and brought food and we asked for bqq sauce). Brinly returned to the table and set the Bqq sauce down and said she would bring back a reciet for the sauce. I told her the Half of chicken and sliders had NO sauce what do you mean? She was very rude and unprofessional. I would not mind paying for Bqq sauce if it was said not set down and demanded. When asked to speak to a Manger she said she was not there. Then came back to the table and said The man mangers would be in shortly and he MAY speak to you.... May? This was my first experience. My Mother and Dad come to cowboy chicken every weekend and have ate at other locations and have NEVER had a problem like this. Again I understand things cost but this was very rude and out of line. I ended up paying for the Bqq sauce because we needed it for our half chicken and sliders. I hope she can learn some manners. And you might need to add a sign Bqq sauce cost and does not come...
