I used to go to Four Seasons all the time and always had a great experience. Unfortunately the last few visits have been pretty disappointing, especially the most recent. Paid $90 (with tip) for a pedicure and gel manicure less than one week ago and already both are needing to be removed.
The were limited color options for regular polish (everything was gel) so I settled for a color I didn't love for my pedicure, and my nails were barely cut or shaped. The polish is peeling up and I'll have to take it off to cut my nails soon anyway. I used to be able to get 1-2 weeks easily out of a pedicure.
I asked for my nails to be cut for the manicure as well since the polish normally lasts for weeks and I wanted them to grow comfortably without needing to cut into the gel before I was ready to remove it. The tech cut a tiny sliver off each nail to flatten out the ends without really shortening them, and left a few of them crooked so they are uneven on surfaces like my keyboard.
The gel polish was sloppily applied, I've had to cut/file extra polish off of my skin and cuticles on multiple nails. The remaining polish started lifting and peeling on the other fingers the next day. I should have been paying better attention in the moment but I was with friends and just happy to be doing something nice for myself after years of staying home and doing them on my own.
There was also water on the floor in multiple places on an already slippery tile - one of the pedicure basins was leaking and someone just turned the water off without cleaning up the spill so naturally I almost fell trying to get up 30 min later after my service was completed and I'd forgotten all about it. I'm surprised no one else slipped in it either.
The area around the hand washing station was also wet and I slid again trying to get over to the other side of the room for my manicure in the little styrofoam flip flops they give you (also incredibly slippery, even when dry). Please consider rugs of some kind in the high...
Read moreI have been going to Four Seasons for years. I quite going a couple of years ago because their chairs were alwasy broken and it started to feel very rushed once you sat down.
I saw that they had remodeled so I tried them a couple more times. This last experience was so terrible I will not be back.
We asked if there was a wait when we go there and they said no. They sat us after 5 minutes or so and then we proceeded to "soak" for about a half hour. When the gal finally came she was very rushed and grabbed my nail kit. I have a red color in my kit that I like once in a while but I decided to try something different and handed her a pinkish color. We discussed that I would not be using the red and she sat down and hastily took off some of my old polish. She did not clip my nails, ran a file over them once and pretty much skipped trimming my cuticles. Maybe a 5 sec scrub on the bottom of each foot then she left for a minute.
When she was gone my daughter said "mom, I think you are bleeding." I said nope, that's old polish she didn't take all the way off. She came back and I mentioned it but she just started the next step.
After a few minutes rub, she started painting my nails. At this time I am talking to my daughter and I notice that the lady next to her that was already started when we sat down is still getting rubbed...When I look down, I see she has already painted all my toes the wrong color. I mention this and she's just like "oh".
So after my 15-20 minute pedicure from start to finish she tries to put my flip flops on before I have had even a minute to dry.
I could go on and on about how my daughters technician ripped her toenail half off and now it appears to be getting infected...but I think this is probably enough of a review.
Lastly, the exfoliation that used ti be included now costs and extra $5....
In a nutshell, if you get a technician that has been there awhile and they are not super busy it might be ok....other...
Read moreI've been coming here for a while now. Never had an issue till recently. A ton of my nails had cracks in them right after I got them done. (Acrylics) So I went in and complained. They weren't happy but glad said they would fix them. They started working and were not nice about it at all. They sent me to 3 different stations. One of the ladies asked me for the color I got last time and I told her. She brought back a different color, and I told her it wasn't that. She goes on to say "This is the right color; you just don't remember." I did remember bc I only got them done a few days ago. Then she complains about me not relaxing my hand and then relaxing it too much. And throws a fit and yells at me. What the heck!! After all said and done, she told me she wasn't going to charge me "this time."(I expect to not be charged because they messed up). But then says "you can tip me whatever". After the customer service I just received, I'm definitely not going to tip or ever come back. That's for sure. Most rude customer service I ever received. Highly DO NOT...
