Poke Makana — Restaurant in Sherwood

Have to revise my previous 5-star review. Because I've never been to a restaurant where you order your food and then they tell you you can't dine in because they're just about to close. That's just rude. It doesn't take long to eat a poke bowl. It's not like we were just starting a 5 course meal or needing service. You couldn't just let us sit and enjoy our food for ten minutes. That's not good customer service. Sorry. You lose two stars.

Love, love, love this place! Super Healthy and super delicious. If you're familiar with poke or like sushi, you'll love this place. It's basically like a chipotle but for poke bowls. You choose your ingredients and sauces. If you're not familiar with poke or sushi, and don't have an open mind, maybe go grab a burger or something. But you don't know what you're missing! Get the spicy tuna and then get some spicy mayo at the end. YUM! My new fav restaurant in this area.

My one critique is: the staff should spend more time explaining how it all works to newcomers. Have more patience with people who aren't familiar with this concept. It's GOOD...

My daughter and I are from out of town about an hour away. After we left our appointment we decided to give this lovely place a try! OH MY GOODNESS! IT WAS SO GOOD! I mean everything was good! The owners were so kind, helpful, and just pleasant. One of the things we really appreciate is that they offer brown rice as well as white. That was a plus for us since we don't eat white rice. The meat proteins, vegetables, fruit, herbs and seasonings were so fresh and vibrant with flavor, and they have a nice balanced variety of additions! We felt so good and were grateful to be nurturing ourselves with wonderful nutritious food. The atmosphere is nice too. Very calming and easy to eat in. We were really impressed with how clean it is and that the music was not blaring loudly, which made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our meal. Also, for what you get, the price is exceptional! 👌 We left feeling so grateful and well nourished. Oh how I wish we lived nearby! We'd eat there EVERYDAY without fail! Just a wonderful place! 10.99 sushirrito. It took kind of long to be understood by the person behind the counter and by the time we were done, sushi was actually a little warm. But I was looking forward to this all day and it was good. A few things can definitely improve to secure their success as a new business.

You Choose two types of protein and all other ingredients including sauces and spices (think a classier version of subway but with sushi ingredients). Some ads-ons are too expensive, an extra 1.50 for Unagi (seared eel) and an extra 1.50 for a little bit of avocado 😬. Also, servings of eel was decent but not the tuna, very little.

It could help them if the menu could have some special sushirritos that the ingredients are already decided with a set price, because some ingredients I thought would be good definitely overpowered all the eel and tuna, etc and some people don't know what to choose.

It is really beautiful inside, classy, new and stylish. Good for a date, or with a group of friends, or with your kids.
