Had experienced a cashier be very discriminatory towards another customer. Cashier stated a passport would not be classified as a ID even though a passport is considered a valid form of identification. She then told the customer to leave the store as she wouldnt even let them pay for the other groceries they had because she claims they had foodstamps. Hey had cash! The customer was of Latin culture as well as the cashier. Her name is Maruja. This isnt the first time something like this has happened and this is the third time I've called to report her. Mr Cemino never does anything. Of course managent let's it slide as she's been working there for years. Imagine how many hard working people dont shop there because of her. For her assume they are paying with foodstamps is absurd. It shouldn't matter what they pay with. She also states people who get foodstamps are lazy and greedy. She is a liability to the company and a nuisance to everyone she works around. This isnt the last time she will do this and something needs to...
Read moreI think Super 1 Foods is underrated. I honestly don't know why I don't shop there more often. The store is always organized and they have stock of products that my regular stores are often out of. The employees are always friendly and there is a person who looks to be a manager maybe, who stands at the front of the store, behind a podium, in case any assistance is needed. They have a good selection of fruits and veggies, including organic, a bakery with regular sales, a deli where you can go pick up lunch if you want, and you can purchase items from the deli that have been cooked that day and packaged for sale. I have been going there about once a month for a few years but only for 1 or 2 items that my regular store doesn't usually carry. The prices are good so I don't know why I don't switch. Maybe it's just not close enough. Not sure why. Their meat seems good. Dairy. Now seafood I don't think they have and that's a big thing in our book. But overall, it's a great store. Definitely think it deserves...
Read moreI just left the deli at this location. The deli manager (according to her name tag) took my order. Physical description: portly Caucasian female of moderate height, age range 45-50, with light brown hair). She really needs an attitude adjustment if she is going to work with the public. I ordered a fish plate and 2 sides. She asked me which type of bread I wanted. I responded cornbread. After she wrapped it up, I asked for 4 additional cornbreads to complete my order. She then told me all they had was the wrapped non deli made version. So we can’t order extra deli made cornbread with our orders now? There was plenty available for the fish plate & all of a sudden there was no extra available? Service is going down at this store! She’s a poor example of a deli manager. And why does she ALWAYS have an attitude & seem impatient...
